I became fascinated with computers from an early age.
At age 13 I started breaking down the software other people had made.
I experimented and basically taught myself the mind of computers.
I am autodidact in Basic, Turbo Pascal, Delphi.
I am familiar with SQL.
As for my computer-skills, I have myself developed some of the worlds fastest routines for managing vast amounts of data... I don't think I should go into the subject of all the software I have used and can use on a professional level (you would be stuck here reading for a very long time).
I am in addition basically bilingual.
Maybe this can be put to work for you.
I really enjoy working with different languages.. Translating and transcribing is not only fun, I still come across a few words that I don't know, and that is the fun part of researching and learning..
I can translate these languages in a professional manner:
English, Danish and Swedish ---> Norwegian
Norwegian, Danish and Swedish ---> English
Norwegian, English and Swedish ---> Danish
For short texts, I also offer translation like:
Norwegian, Danish and English ---> Swedish.
German ---> Norwegian, Danish, English and Swedish.
I can offer transcription of Norwegian, English and Swedish audiofiles.
I would also love to do some German transcription for personal learning purposes.. My german understanding of the spoken language is not bad.
(When the Danes start speaking properly, then I can do their language also :D, for now, it is too time-consuming for me.)
Phew. That was a lot about language... Where did it all start you might wonder... Well.. It helps being told that you can not do it. (Don't listen to that you parents out there. Recognise your childrens values. Encourage them!)
Apart from that, it does help to be stubborn! and travel around a bit is not bad either.
Being a software developer is what I really want for my future. Challenges will come my way and I will do whatever I can to meet those challenges in a professional manner.
Many old programmers or those taught a language at school see problems and a box they are stuck in.
In school I was the one teaching my teachers. I was the one thinking outside the box to get things done.
I can be stubborn some times, but in my mind, nothing is impossible.
The impossible only takes a little bit longer time.
I wish to put my skills into good use and I hope that will be something for you.
