Writer and Project Manager
I specialize in writing and designing high-quality, documentation, such as magazine articles, blogs, user guides, training materials, etc. I also have experience at a publishing company as a project manager, where I coordinate the authors of anthologies to get the book published on time. As an innovative and adaptable communication specialist, I am proficient in writing, desktop publishing, and project management.
At the end of 2012, I decided to begin a career as a consultant. In this role, I bring unique perspectives to my clients because of my wide range of experience—mainly, developing all of the components necessary to publish, in addition to writing—and my ability to work as a key team member to get results. In October 2014, I became an author in the best-selling anthology "Manifesting in High Heels."
In a previous job, as a member of the technical writing team at Abbott Molecular, I managed many types of documentation projects, mainly operations manuals for diagnostic instrumentation. My responsibilities included completing these documents for product launches. In order meet my deadlines, I collaborated with team leaders to set realistic expectations; acquired information from a variety of sources, including software developers, engineers and scientists; and designed the manuals to meet company standards. I photographed instrumentation and collected screen captures of software to support the instructions in an accurate, reliable and easy to follow format. Working with quality, regulatory, marketing, safety and other functional areas ensured that all criteria were met prior to the publication of the documents.
