Animator, Illustrator & Graphic Designer

I am a mac-addict from way back, and always work with a Wacom tablet in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Premiere, Toon Boom Harmony, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Corel Painter, Mischief and whatever other program happens to move me.
After college, in my 20s and 30s, I was a type designer and graphic artis by day, and a signer/songwriter at night. I sang back-up in big original rock bands, and was the lead singer in a little tragically hip alternative band in the Boston area. My day job kept growing until I became the worldwide creative director for my division of AGFA. This was a great job, but very demanding. Crazy hours, big budgets, impossible deadlines, printer’s proofs, trade shows and magazine ads. I loved it. My alternative band with my husband Michael was doing pretty well, and we were having songs picked up on network television both domestically and internationally. All was well with the world.
When we had our first child, I put music on the back burner, and shifted focus from the high-pressure advertising world to the highly creative world of children. I co-wrote and illustrated a couple of (published) children’s books and built up a thriving in-house freelance illustration and graphics business while I watched my kids grow into fine young teens.
More recently I have been able to realize my life-long ambition of working in 2D animation through programs such as Toon Boom Animate, Harmony and Storyboard Pro, and have ramped up my contract business to focus on animation.
