Not only have I had the chance to study the behaviors of certain markets for future developments, but I have learned how to research thoroughly to attain statistics that will justify putting certain stores and restaurants in a commercial development. Aside from pinpointing what to put in a commercial property, I have also learned the technique of knowing how to effectively place certain concepts on certain floors and areas to create a more efficient environment for mall-goers. The department I used to be under also handles all the applications for our commercial developments, which in turn, exposed me to the art of interviewing the said applicants and knowing whether or not their concept must be prioritized, depending on the uniqueness or popularity of it. Also, the department I was part of in Ayala Land Inc. was in charge of screening restaurants that want to lease a space in our commercial developments, so I have tasted some of the best dishes and some, not at all worth mentioning. This has made me develop an acquired taste and it's rather easier for me now to identify which dishes are of quality and which aren't. Currently, I work as a Trade Marketing Executive for a global Home Appliance company. I am involved in Trade Marketing, Product Marketing, Financial Analysis, Budget Planning and Strategic Positioning, and constantly work with several departments in the company. I regularly work with and present to the Financial Controller, the Sales Director, the Marketing Department Head, the Trade Marketing Head (who I also directly report to), and the Country Manager. Mainly, I present Strategic Plans to expedite the sell-out of our products in the market. I also plan for the budget and ensure that I have several options ready, should there be any sudden changes. Aside from this, I am the main point-person in the company when coming up with business memos sent to various clients. I've been tasked to deliver bad news on a positive note and have succeeded, as well as convince the client that a certain scheme is better through the written word and also, succeeded. I am a fast learner and I am always open to crafting new skills and management techniques to increase my business acumen. I am the type of person who, when given a task, can accomplish it independently, and in the process, find my own ways and procedures to attain it, but at the same time, incorporate the current process and turn it into something more efficient.
