Editor, Content Consultant and Team Manager
I am a lifelong writer and experienced editor who returned to college a little more than 10 years ago. I earned top honors at Quincy College with a 4.0 GPA. My fellow classmates also voted me class leader because of all the help I was able to give them alongside our teachers.
I've studied a variety of subjects over the years, earning over 60 college credits, focusing mainly on English, economics, business communications and computer applications. My most recent certification was from Sullivan and Cogliano Computer School.
After college, I became an editorial assistant for Gatehouse Media, working on several community newspapers. When I worked the Old Colony Memorial newsroom, my editor-in-chief awarded me Employee of the Month, but when the recession hit the newspaper industry three years later, they implemented massive layoffs, and had to let me go, along with 34 others that day.
That's when my small business, Write My Stuff, was born. Thanks to the great editors at the newspaper, I can write and edit just about anything out there, from articles and website content to social media and blog posts, as well as video scripts, e-books and much more.
I produce unique website content ideas by creating titles and article descriptions for various teams of writers. I manage a small team of writers by assigning batches of articles according to my client's editorial calendar. In addition, I edit, track and file all returned articles in a timely manner, within 48 hours (business days only), unless I have to send them back to a writer for a revisit.
One of the best parts of my editing work is being able to make other writers better. I enjoy critiquing their writing and providing constructive criticism. It is fulfilling to watch a writer improve dramatically right before my eyes. That's what I get to do. I consider this a gift, and I am forever grateful for it.
I can also provide many of my own pictures, as a published photographer and member of the Plymouth Digital Photographers Club. Many of my photos appear in local magazines, newsletters and newspapers, as well as some websites and blogs.
I am skilled at using the latest WordPress SEO and editing tools. I am a fast learner who is always willing to pick up something quickly and efficiently in order to be able to provide the quality work every client deserves.
Having worked on the Internet since the beginning, I have a clear understanding of what people want to read online - and how they want to read it. My passion for writing and creating something excellent from nothing more than a blank page shows in everything I do.
I never back down from a challenge, because I believe in continuously learning and perfecting my skills, so I can offer my clients the highest level of expertise.
