    Web Developer

Canada - Last active: 28 days ago - Tests: 1

I began by trying to build a robot. I had to learn how to code in Arduino. At the time, I was taking business strategy and marketing courses on Coursera, so I looked for course on coding. I found a Python course building Pong, and Asteroids from scratch. Then I did an Android Apps course, which lead me to pursuing a career as an indie game developer for about 6 months. I made some 2d projects in the Unity3D game engine, but I needed to take my career as a programmer more seriously. That is when I decided to take a PHP web development deep dive with TeamTreehouse. I learnt how to build dynamic, modern websites, that look good on a smartphone, as well as a desktop. Then I moved on to Laravel and built a few sites. Currently, I am developing an online t shirt store Check out my git hub https://github.com/cloudEdwards for samples of my work I look forwards to working with you

Experienced software engineer, trainer, speaker and coach

    United Kingdom - Last active: 10/28/2013 - Tests: 1

I have been a professional software engineer for over 15 years. I am most proficient in PHP, but can also code in JavaScript, Python and Ruby as well as HTML and CSS. I am comfortable with both Symfony2 and Zend Framework 2. But have also spent time with CakePHP, CodeIgniter and Kohana. I'm also happy with proprietary, non-framework code bases. I am also a qualified trainer and coach. I thoroughly enjoy putting together training programmes which are either delivered in person, or created for someone else to deliver. I have a deep understanding of the agile principles of software development and regularly train others on what it means to be agile, as well as how to create quality software with frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. Finally, I delight in both creating and delivering high impact, stunning presentations that both engage and enthuse audiences while helping them understand the key points of whatever it is I'm presenting. I am just as comfortable in a group of developers as I am sitting down to explain how software is created with a CEO. I take pride in being able to talk to anyone about anything on any level, with a focus on clear and transparent communication. Should you with to employ me for your project, you'll find my communications regular, professional and to the point. If there is anything else you'd like to know, then please get in touch. Even if we don't get to work together, making new contacts and understanding my clients is key delivering delight.
