Greetings! I'm a professional writing, creativity, and communications coach and consultant based in Austin, Texas. I work with people to bring their writing and creative projects to fruition. My approach to coaching draws on the principles of positive and humanistic psychology, as well as 20 years of experience and training as an educator, musician, and performer. I draw upon broad-based expertise in writing, public speaking, and the expressive arts, as well as extensive experience with teaching/training, curriculum development, content strategy, consciousness and spirituality studies, and life coaching. I enjoy working in close collaboration with clients to enhance their creativity and develop their confidence. My major strengths include a deep intuition and ability to hold space for clients, a talent for nurturing creative energy, and insight into both the visionary aspects and the details of a given project.
I did my undergraduate work at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, focusing on cognitive science and music, and graduating with a B.A. in Biopsychology. I also have a Master's degree in Religious Studies from Indiana University, and a Master's degree in Performance Studies from New York University's Tisch School for the Arts. I've taught college-level courses in academic writing, composition, and creative non-fiction at Tulane University in New Orleans, and have worked in academic writing centers at Tulane, Texas State University, and St. Edward’s University. From 2009-2013, I taught religious studies courses as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Religion, and Humanities at Austin Community College. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Psychology with a Specialization in Creativity Studies (a low-residency hybrid/online program) at Saybrook University.
