Programming Languages: Delphi, C/C++, Pascal, Perl, REXX, SAS, SAS Macros, PL/1, Fortran, BASIC, various macro languages, CLISTs, CMS Execs, and light experience with Visual Basic. Application frameworks including VCL, DevExpress VCL components, FireMonkey, CXL, CICS, IMS DC, ISPF Dialog Manager, and ADF. I've also done some light work with Embarcadero's HTML5 Builder. Various data reporting and query engines including Business Objects, Crystal Reports, QMF, and embedding SQL queries in Excel. Systems Analysis using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (Coad/Yourdon) and extensive experience with various Structured Development LifeCycle Methodologies (SDLCs included Yourdon/DeMarco/Page-Jones, Warnier/Orr, Jackson). My products have had high impact e.g. I developed a software performance database and GUI graphing "Prospector" toolkit that saved one company $6-8 million dollars per year, for 6+ consecutive years, by enabling them to rapidly prioritize high impact software re-engineering and problem diagnosis. During one my Prospector demos, one audience member said "you've just done in 1-2 minutes what takes me 8-10 hours every day". During one Y2K conversion project, I designed and created automation to diagnose and remediate database impact. It eliminated more than a thousand hours of labor from the project. Another system I refactored had about 1,000 modules ALL needing modifications EVERY year. I redesigned it into about 100 comparable reusable/sharable modules, with only about 10 needing modifications per year. Doing so dramatically reduced support labor. Shortly after I joined Sabre Holdings in 1982, they became one of the first American companies to use IBMs DB2, I was one of the first Sabre technologists to pioneer using DB2, as both Database Administrator (DBADM) and application developer.
