Communications Strategist - Writer, Editor, Creative Wordsmith

    Spain - Last active: 1 day ago - Tests: 4 - Portfolio: 14

Every company, organization, and individual has a motivation – a thought that comes into being, waiting for the moment to be expressed into actions and words. Often, thoughts linger on the verge of development due to the inability to partially or entirely transform them into literature; or the hesitation that doing so will deviate from the powerful essence of a thought that could ‘become’. Benefit from a communications strategist who will collaborate with you – from a writer, editor, and creative wordsmith perspective – to create original content as well as interpret your ideas, concepts, and literary works. Your existing communications will also be developed and enhanced to exceed your objectives and goals. We will work together to identify areas for improvement while outlining a strategy for change, and exploring innovative possibilities. Ours is a potential collaboration towards successfully creating, developing, and achieving your communication goals. I offer clarification through consultation and compose to establish literary flow. I am a wordsmith architect whose expertise is complemented by 20+ years of collaborating with companies from multiple sectors, corporate-level executives, entrepreneurs, and others. My sought-after consultation is also a reflection of my inherent ability to ‘engage’ by accessing the feeling of what you are trying to communicate. My collaborations have included: Entrepreneurs - establishing clear communication of their ideas Corporations - helping to develop written strategies Websites - in search of quality content Book authors - requiring a keen eye for creative and emotional infusion Book publishers - editing and proofreading for continuity Business startups - developing the foundation of their identity Marketing companies - for perspective to improving and expanding their message Translations companies - quality English writing across multiple industries The mom - seeking to express the depth of her sentimentality The student - fulfilling his/her written university requirements The executive - requiring beneficial insight and organization These collaborations, and more, are supported by an ongoing recognition of achievements and acknowledgements: "You get me." "You exceeded my expectations." "You knew exactly what I wanted to say." "You understood the objective from my perspective." "Your ability to evaluate, communicate, and deliver is extraordinary."

I believe in excellence. Writing isn't about just putting words on paper, it's about expressing ideas. Like any art, the writer has only been successful if the reader sees what he sees, hears what he hears, and feels what he feels. I am an experienced writer with over 180 books published; in addition to my 500+ page web site and 3 blogs. Let's just say, I've been writing for a while. I started writing as an engineer, writing proposals for the company I worked for. As such, my writing had to be clear, concise and answer the questions before they were asked. My writing had to convince the higher-ups in the company to spend money, make changes and believe in what I was saying. When I write, I strive for clarity, simplicity and something that will stir the reader to action. Any subject, no matter how dull it seems, has something in it that can excite; otherwise it would die from apathy. I want to find that thing which excites and express it to others. I have Five general areas in which I consider myself a strong writer. While each of them seem totally separate from each other, they form the structure of who I am, and where I've come from. 2 - Survival and Prepping - I started out as a survivalist as a teen, in the 1970s. That was the latter days of the Cold War and along with some friends, I had plans to head for the Colorado Rockies. Seeing the need, I started studying survival. I guess that just never left me. With the resurgence of interest in survival brought about in the modern prepping movement, I decided that my knowledge was needed. There is too much being written by people who don't know survival, to sell to this niche. When I write about it, it's from the viewpoint of personal experience. When I explain how to do something, it's because I've already done it. 1 - Technical subjects - I'm not talking about product reviews here, I'm talking about engineering technical subjects. As a former engineer, I can grasp technical issues, and explain them in a way that others can grasp what I am saying. Although not normally considered "technical" I must include the building trades amongst this, as I have also been a contractor. If you need "how-to" articles written on the building trades, I can almost do it in my sleep. I find that very few technical people can write well, and very few writers understand technical issues well. I guess that makes me the oddball. Maybe I'm the oddball you need. 2 - Education - I am passionate about the need to educate our children; to bring about reform in our schools; and to bring technology into the classroom. If something isn't done about our educational system, the United States will no longer be able to be world leader, we'll slide back into being a third world country. 3 - Marriage and Family - Amongst my personal writing, there is a fairly large section dealing with marriage, family issues, child raising, and maintaining a healthy marriage relationship. Of my three blogs, one is a daily posting; it is called: "Romantic Act of the Day." Need I say any more? 4 - Christianity and the Bible - Most of the books I have written are for Christians, the Church and teaching about the Bible. I hold a masters degree in Biblical Studies, and an honorary doctorate degree, awarded to me for my writing. No, I don't know it all, I'm just trying to learn it all. I won't say that I can't write about other areas, because I can. I have written a fair amount about business as well. But these four areas are my strengths. The question is, are those the strengths you need?

Are you looking for someone who has extensive experience with marketing, sales, lead generation, affiliate marketing, email marketing, or residential real estate? Do you need someone with awesome communication skills, a solid understanding of web design, and swell English? (Yep..."swell".) Are you a fellow entrepreneur/internet marketer who needs to customize your unique project in a way that matches your style and branding? If you answered "Yes" to any (or all) of the above, send me an interview request today. I always aim to exceed my clients' expectations, and a review of my client feedback will confirm this. I'm looking for interesting projects in the following areas (preferably in the real estate industry, but open to interesting alternatives): - light web design work/customization/consulting for real estate agents & brokers - lead generation / internet marketing consulting for real estate agents & brokers - automation consulting (I can help you get rid of time-consuming / redundant / redundant tasks so you can focus on more important things) Preferred Contracts: - $300 minimum (if flat rate) - Less than 5 hours per week (if hourly) Send an interview request today and let's see how I can make your project a smashing success! I've been designing websites, graphics, spreadsheets and software for over 17 years, over 95% from scratch. My specialty is the area having to do with "Direct Response" methods of lead generation, having studied almost every Dan Kennedy book and dozens of self-study courses over the years. I eat, breathe, sleep and dream sales and marketing. You think like an entrepreneur, and so do I...because that's almost all I've known for over a decade. I've been self-employed in some form my entire adult life. Borderline-obsessive work ethic is just another day at the office. I've gone through Tim Ferriss' "4-Hour Work Week" almost a dozen times. GAME. CHANGER. If you've read it, you know what I mean. If you haven't: read it. Real Estate Experience: - licensed residential real estate agent since 2005 - full-time real estate agent 2005-2010 - worked with investors, relocation companies - former real estate Board member + teacher Web Design And Lead Generation: I have spent the past 9 years working extensively with: - Custom landing pages/"Squeeze Pages" (many for the Real Estate niche) - AWeber + GetResponse automated email delivery services - Loan Pre-Qualification forms (designed for real estate agents + residential lenders) - Tons of form-filling processes and data capture on the web - Wordpress integration, theme customization, and theme-building - Internet Video integration - PDF/eBook generation - Fixing bugs so sites display correctly (a necessary evil) Sales & Marketing: - I've been selling enthusiastically since the age of 5 (it started with selling pencils door-to-door. I made $2.50 in 15 minutes. My mom yelled at me and made me return the money. It was on this day that my disdain for authority was born...) - I own (and actually completed) more sales, marketing, real estate investing, and real estate agent training courses than I can count (over 100 at least) - I hired a professional sales and marketing coach for approximately two years while practicing real estate, and amassed a well-rounded business education along the way - Barely old enough to vote, I spent 3 years selling telecommunications service and building sales teams I've also spent more time than I can count on: - Writing custom email campaigns - Writing eBooks and Free Reports for website give-aways - Designing custom graphics, flyers, and advertisements - Designing website elements (logos, buttons, banner graphics, backgrounds, etc) - Copy writing / sales letters (long- and short-form) Long story short: I have a strong background in the many aspects of internet-based sales and marketing, I love sales and marketing, and I'm a stickler for details. Send me an interview request today and let's see how I can be an asset to your project! I'm very familiar with the following languages and tools (if your project requires them): - HTML / PHP / CSS - Javascript / jQuery / jQuery Mobile / AJAX - Adobe Photoshop / PSD-to-HTML - MySQL databases (and website integration) - Microsoft Excel (I've designed hundreds of custom spreadsheets and 3 complete software solutions for myself and clients) If you're looking for a developer or content writer with a strong background in the finer points of sales and marketing, one with an obsession over the details, one with a thorough understanding of what it takes to generate you more business and get you more email subscribers, send me an interview request today and let's see if we're a match.

Over the past 30 years I have written in every position ever held. Out of college I was a professional journalist, writing features, special sections, news, and every other type of writing associated with a daily paper. In later positions I've done editing, copywriting, advertising writing, script writing, blogging, newsletters, brochures, and have written two published books. In 2000 I wrote Surviving The Flesh Eating Bacteria, published by Penguin Putnam and in 2004 I wrote "How to Build a Miniature Gingerbread House" published by Running Press. I have followed several career paths, but writing has been a part of all of them. My most recent career as a Realtor has afforded me writing opportunities in web site content, newsletters, advertising copy, blogging, and proposal writing. I also keep up my skills with feature writing and a book I am working on. I have been building web pages since 1994 and still maintain several. I have a good work ethic, am organized, fast, reliable and conscientious.
