In my process I ask many questions, do a lot of research, propose new ideas, explore diverse channel of distribution, provide a lot of graphics, create models using a canvas business model system, run numbers and create financial projections. At the end, I do everything I can to create useful and powerful documents for my clients.

Some business and marketing plans are designed to get a loan from a bank, others to get potential investors excited about a project. Most of the time is a tool to raise money, but all the time should be an instrument to guide your future.
In my work I get inspiration from big angel and venture capitalist firms, such as the giant investor Sequoia Capital; that has invested in companies like Apple, Google, YouTube, PayPal, Instagram, Yahoo!, Atari, Kayak, Zappos, and LinkedIn. Before you hire me I give you a very clear plan of what I will do for you, step by step, with a feasible timetable. Again, I do not over-promise, I do what I said I will do.
By hours, this is a breakdown of my typical development process:
1) Business Consulting (2-6 hours)
2) Market (Research and Plan) (4 to 8 hours)
3) Financials (4 to 10 hours) - 3 to 5 years of Sales, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet forecasts.
4) Writing (8 to 16 hours) - following the format of California VC firm Sequoia Capital and adding charts, maps, graphics, etc., to clarify your business pitch.
My tools are 1)Internet for research, 2) Skype for communication, 3) ASANA to organize my work, 4) Excel to plot all financial projections, 5) PowerPoint to design pitch decks, and 6) a few RedBulls to work overnight and on time.
Everything will start with a Skype chat and we go from there.
I work around your budget. I know that startups are not cash cows.
Because every plan is unique, I like to discuss final payment terms during the interview process. My original bid is a guide for the client, and is based, usually, on a week of work (about 40 hours). Depending on the nature, format and stage of your business project, my work could take about a week and in some cases several weeks.
My hourly rate is $100, and usually will take me 24 to 32 hours of work to develop a comprehensive plan.
If you hire me as a fixed rate contract, I operate on a 3-payment basis. The first 30% is due at project start, a second payment of 30% at an agreed upon middle milestone, and the final 40% upon completion of the project.
