A receptionist at a hostel in Tokyo

    New Zealand - Last active: 02/21/2014 - Tests: 10

I would like to work on projects such as Japanese-English translation, writing critiques/reviews of films with illustration, and art projects that allow me to express myself. I have NO previous experiences in translation and it is because I have never been given the opportunity before. I believe the problem with translation industry is that you always need to submit your previous works and prove how many projects you have done. If you are never given a chance, you cannot prove to the world what you are capable of. I was born in Japan and raised in Japan, but I chose to go to the US and Australia in highschool so I struggled through cultural experiences and became a bilingual. I have always put myself in customer service jobs because I truly enjoy face to face communication. I have been a server, a receptionist, and an English instructor. One of the aspects that fascinates me and motivates me is finding out needs and demands of the customers/clients and providing them services that exceed their expectation. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed my prevoius work experiences, I would like to keep challenging myself in new fields. I would like to start working online as a translator and an English tutor. I am very responsible and hard working. My weakness is that I sometimes push myself too hard and sacrifice hours to reach for perfection and to get my own satisfaction. I am willing to learn. I look forward to working with other highly skilled and talented individuals.

France - Last active: 22 hours ago - Tests: 7

I'm 23 years old and currently working as a freelance Translator. I have lived in Japan as an exchange student in 2005-2006 which has made me very interested in learning foreign languages and studying other cultures. I can speak French and English fluently and also have a good understanding of Spanish and Japanese. I'd be interested in finding an ongoing Data entry or translation job. I also studied Art at L'Université Toulouse II Le Mirail and have recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. So far I've worked on a few children's books and puzzles, mostly cartoon like illustrations. I'm also very fond of realism drawing, such as portraits, and I can adapt really easily to different styles (Anime, comics, etc)

My name is Mana from www.designoasis.co.uk I am a Japanese UI/UX designer now working in the UK with a small team of the hardest working and most passionate designers and developers in the business. We make beautifully crafted native applications and websites and it is our attention to detail that really makes us stand out from the crowd:- 1) Wireframing - we place a huge emphasis on the importance of wireframing to make sure everyone involved in the project is on the same page prior to design and development commencing. 2) Hosting & Push Notifications - App hosting and push notifications costs can be very expensive. Where appropriate we offer reduced price hosting and notifications by adding clients to our hosting and notification packages. 3) Project Management - We use one of the best and simplest project management tools Basecamp to ensure ease of communication and to simplify project tracking. 4) Testing - We use independent testers and integrate Bugsense to ensure that your app is bug free prior to going live. 5) Website and video - We can assist clients with their landing page and/or app intro video to ensure their app has the best possible marketing platform in place at the time of release.

Production Experienced Senior Designer | Creative Copywriter |

    Dominican Republic - Last active: 22 hours ago - Tests: 6 - Portfolio: 33

Greetings Potential Client! My name is David, a highly motivated designer working as a senior lead designer at FOCUS MARKETING GROUP, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, managing the pre-visuals for events, special promotions, concerts, printed materials, web design, social media managing, video editing, post-compositing, audio technician, music production and several other areas within my direct reach. I've been working as a professional graphic designer for over 7 years now, escalating quickly within every company, while still earning the trust and respect from my former clients. If i were asked what makes me a great designer, i would say it's my adaptability to any situation, feeling or theme that the client desires the work to evoke upon being seen. I also believe in fair work, if something takes me 2 hours to do, ill be extremely honest with you. If i can save you money and work fast (with high quality control) i can guarantee it will happen. Other than that, i believe my patience and listening skills will allow the client to express his every need, taking everything into consideration before starting the job. Below, i'll talk a bit more about my technical skills: Conceptualization and writing: I never understood why, but words just flow through my head with such ease, it's hard not to love creative writing. Following David Ogilvy's philosophy on Creating headlines and body Copy that sells, i feel very comfortable doing this specific job. Printed Media: I worked for a couple of clients for about a year, dealing with their newspaper and magazine ads. Quality was always kept to a high standard and satisfaction with the job was guaranteed. Although i prefer digital media due to the vibrance of the colors, i still find this area pretty interesting. Digital media: I've had the chance to work in Web and App design. However, i rather just work on the visual part, and have a developer colleague work deeply in the code so everything comes out a lot better. I also work with 2D animation, most commonly for my current employer, using those animations to create direct and impact filled Advertising Spots for our dynamic billboards. But it doesn't stop at 2D. I cannot emphasize how much i enjoy working in 3D conceptualization. If you need a product prototype to be seen in 360 degrees, or a 3D object to be seen in a 2D environment, i'd be more than happy to work with you. Branding: This is the most time consuming part of my career. Not because i'm not good at logo design, but because i try to make it as perfect as i can. In the end, a logo is the face of a company in the market, and creating a non-appealing face is what i try my best to avoid. Here's a short example of some of my work (which is in spanish, if you need translation of a description please let me know!): http://davidnunez.imgur.com/ Hope to hear from you soon!
