    Freelance translator

    Italy - Last active: 05/20/2014 - Tests: 3

I have just graduated with the highest score as a translator from English and German. I like to translate, and to do my best to communicate in my native language the same thing the source writer wanted to communicate in his language. I can easily adapt to every job I have to do, and as I am friendly and flexible, I would be glad to communicate with my clients about everything they would like to ask me, and viceversa. I have had a short, but significant experience as a video game translator: it was very useful as it allowed me to gain knowledge of the main localization principles, the capital importance of correct grammar and punctuation, the necessity for a game localizer to build glossaries which have to be different according to the game house for which they work, and the need to always communicate with clients. My hobbies and interests involve the use of internet, and especially English-written websites; moreover, I watch undubbed American tv series, so I keep training my English. But I also like to read in German (I am buying German-written books). I am very patient, flexible, willing to learn from others and to work in a young, multicultural and dynamic environment. I am interested in social media and in the web in general. I have attended a localization-online course with Novilinguists Multimedia SNC and I know it will be very useful for me, as I believe that, nowadays more than ever, localization plays an essential role in our lives. I would love to work more and more in the app and video game environment, so I will try my best to do a good job!
