    Senior Project Manager/Product Developer

    United States - Last active: 17 days ago - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 10

I have a comprehensive background in product development/project management within the confines of international medical device regulations. I thrive on taking vague ideas and ill-defined needs and turning them into concrete reality. I can start a medical device company from the ground up and I can do it on schedule. This includes... From a Regulatory perspective: --Initial regulatory requirements analysis for new markets (EU, Brazil, Australia, US, Canada, etc.) --Identification of applicable test protocols (ISO standards, etc.) and management of test houses --Interfacing with regulatory agencies and identifying consultants --Writing of regulatory submissions such as FDA 510(k)s --Quality System development and implementation to required standards (ISO 13485, FDA, CMDCAS, etc.) --Identification of loop holes and temporary workarounds to ease implementation pains and maintain profitability From a Project perspective: --Using good interpersonal skills to keep people motivated and excited --"Conducting the orchestra", developing a logical rhythm of events and ensuring timely completion of tasks --Turning "unknown unknowns" into "known unknowns", forseeing problems before they arise and altering the "orchestra" accordingly --Coordination of teams on an international level --Intelligently focusing energy on tasks with the highest variability, including procurement of additional expertise as necessary --Always keeping an open dialog about the day-to-day changes in the "Good/Fast/Cheap, pick any two but only two of the three" trade-offs in milestone achievement From a Product perspective: --Development of design parameters from organization input (Sales, Marketing, Support, etc.) --Nitty-gritty technical work like engineering drawings/drafting, statistical analysis, resdesigns due to manufacturing constraints, component supplier identification. --Identification, qualification, and day-to-day management of international manufacturers --Design History File/Technical File development and maintenance --Design Transfer for complex electromechanical devices From an Operations perspective: --Part Number/Drawing Number/Revision Control development and implementation --Engineering Change Order workflow and impacts --Purchasing-Manufacturing-Sales-Shipment procedures and throughput --ERP/MRP implementation including workarounds for system limitations I am a strong believer in a person's word. If I tell you I'm going to do something by a certain date that is my word and I'm going to get it done, hell or high-water. I don't mess around: I live on a remote homestead so I grow my own food, build my own structures, fix my own car, brew my own beer. My entire life requires a high level of precision execution every single day, failure is not an option.

    Sr. IT/Software Development (Project) Management

Italy - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 10

    - Sr. QA Engineer - Sr. Project / Program Manager / Scrum Master - Sr. Business Consultant After years of experience in Management in both the Software Development and IT industry, I want to expand my horizon at my level of expertise. I'm more geared towards management of technical staff and/or projects. In this setting I have experience in a lot of different specialties (QA, Customer Support, Web Development, Development, IT, Production, Client Management, and others). I'm comfortable in a lot of environments, but I like to be able to use my own management style that is more aimed in managing through positive experiences, openness and coaching and training. I'm definitely not a supporter/believer of managing with an iron fist. My main aim is always to create a positive and productive environment in which people can feel happy and flourish, as opposed to being stressed and strained. VBA / Office Specialist

United States - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 1

I apply my knowledge of the wide range of IT technologies and processes I have encountered in my career to every new project that I am involved in. I have an innate ability quickly to see the most efficient solution to almost every problem that I encounter. I have saved my past employers both money and manpower with the solutions that I have created. I have worked as a programmer, systems analyst, a Windows/UNIX system administrator, app developer, database architect, process improver, mainframe maintainer, and general all around computer guy throughout my career. When I start a new project I put all of my attention and effort into it until the end because I feel that is the best way to serve my customers. I am always professional in my interactions with all my customers and associates. I have used MS Office to create numerous solutions to various issues in an enterprise environment. The most impactful are listed below. -Created a scheduling database to ensure that all mainframe jobs and other tasks were completed for daily batch and post-processing. This greatly cut down on errors and omissions that were done in the past. -Created a server and workstation application in MS Access for Dental Advisors to review disputed claims. This application worked with mainframe data extracts, an external pictures database, and an internal database. It also gathered input from two other departments. This brought the company in full compliance with regulatory and privacy obligations. -Created a billing database for Small Groups to ensure proper and accurate billing. This helped the company retain business and saved many man-hours of work monthly. -Created many macros for Word and Excel to help others automate repetitive tasks thereby improving efficiency in the workplace. I have created databases in Lotus Notes to store production history. This helped the company comply with legal historical requirements by putting the data in one repository. I designed and created a many-table database to hold mainframe data in order to streamline ad-hoc reporting. I wrote Cobol programs to extract the mainframe's VSAM data into multiple flat files for input into a DB2 database running on an AIX server . This allowed us to create new reports for Sales and others in hours instead of the company's standard of weeks. I was half of the team that was most likely the first VSE mainframe shop to run without a mainframe printer. We utilized a beta version of mainframe TCP/IP software to push reports to a network printer and/or PDF files for emailing. This greatly cut electricity and paper costs as well as an hour from the nightly batch.
