    MongoDB/CQRS/ES/ASP.NET MVC/Node.JS/AngularJS/BackboneJS

    Belarus - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 5

About me in two words: software craftsman. I am always looking for new technologies and new solutions for a known problems. In fact I’ve first started use NoSql databases four years ago. I’ve started from ravendb, than become a huge fun of mongodb. I’ve tried redis, memchaed and read about cassandra and riak. Almost in same time me, and my collegues build our first CQRS based system. Year later we’ve started use CQRS combined with Event Sourcing and continue use it today. I don’t believe in golded grail. Everything changes and I enjoy keeping up to date with new technologies. Technology Radar by Thought Works helps in that a bit. Behind my main proficiency(.net) during last two years I’ve tried and learned node.js and Dropwizard java framework built by Coda Hale from Yammer. I also greatly improved my client side skills and built two single page applications. One is based on backbone (Theranest) and another one is based on angular (Hummingbird). I have one rule when starting new project: “Try something new”. I’ve strongly believe in the open source. Me and few other Paralect founders build open source tool for mongodb management robomongo (http://robomongo.org/). It is widely used around the globe and has between 500 and 3000 download per day. I am StackOverflow'er (http://stackoverflow.com/users/508601/andrew-orsich). I am very proactive and enjoy impact to the future of the project I am working on. I am always analyze a market and trying to come up with better, or improved ideas. My previous customers liked that about me a lot. This passion combined with my intention to learn and apply new technologies helped me to create and run two startups: Theranest and Hummingbird (see more details below) over the last year. Theranest now successful startup which is constrantly growing. Hummingbird just opened for a beta clients. Performance, scalability and big data was most interesting to me over the whole my career. During this year I want to apply my teoretical knowledge of Twitter architecture (batch, serving, real time layers) and make deeper step into Big Data world. I want to try Twitter Storm and Hadoop on a real project. I am comfortable being uncomfortable. Current technology stack is: Server side: ASP.NET MVC 3-4, C#, Signalr, MongoDB, SQL Server, Lucene for full text search, Quartz.net for scheduled tasks, Dependency Injection, NLog. Node.js, express, socket.io, mongodb, etc. Testing: Unit Testing, UI testing with Selenium Client side: BackboneJS / KnockoutJS / AngularJS, RequireJS, Twitter-Bootstrap, jQuery, Mustache, Underscore, etc. Certified mongodb DBA - https://s3.amazonaws.com/edu-cert.10gen.com/downloads/0a986eb852da42d0967db95e132bc44a/Certificate.pdf

    Canada - Last active: 17 days ago - Tests: 10 - Portfolio: 3

Provide the highest of quality software engineering and development services for my clients. With over **20 years professional experience** and nearly **30 years programming experience**. I am educated in engineering and computer science and have a good base of knowledge of software engineering concepts and principals. See the following link for my philosophy [http://www.futureinfinite.ca/Content/OurCompany/HowWeDoThings.aspx][1]. If you are looking for something to be done; then I can do it - I have **never failed on any project I've worked on**. Explicitly I have worked quite a bit with Microsoft based languages, tools, and technologies: Visual Studio, MFC, C/C++, ATL, OLE, COM/DCOM, WFC, .NET, C#, VB, ADO, LINQ, LINQ to SQLT-SQL, Workflows, WCF, Configuration Services, Composite Applications, Distributed Systems, STL, to name a few and I have worked on many other non Microsoft tools and technologies. An area of specialization I have aquired over the past few years has been in the equities trading domain. I have spent the last 6 years developing a trading system and have had to become familiar with things like data aquisition, trading algorithms, and trade submision. I have used many different data feed providers (currently using TrackData services). I have developed a generalized trade request module (used by the clients of my system) and is currently configured to work with Interactive Brokers TWS [API]. The system has been optimized to process request in a very short timeframe. From aquisition to trade submission is between 2.5 and 5 seconds which is a very reasonable amount of time considering the amount of data being retrieved and processing occuring it. I pride myself on the ability to pick up new technologies and tools very quickly and efficiently. Everything in software development is based on some theory or concept; and understanding these theories and concepts is key in understanding how current and future technologies can be used. With others you will get a programmer with limited to no understanding of software engineering practices. With me you will get someone who knows how to take an idea, understand what that idea means; conceptualize it; logicalize it; organize it; design it, implement it, deploy it, and maintain it. In the end you will have deliverables of the highest quality that can easily grow as your project grows. Nothing in software is static; and I make sure that it isn't. I absolutely love software development and taking an idea and engineering it into a product. It gives me a great deal of pleasure in producing excellent products. Let's work together; let's make your product excellent. Peter Simard Future Infinite Simulations [1]: http://www.futureinfinite.ca/Content/OurCompany/HowWeDoThings.aspx

AGILE Project manager - pre-development, and manage development

    Russia - Last active: 18 days ago - Tests: 4 - Portfolio: 7

I do success project! The step for make it happen - planing UI/wireframes, object relation structure, and plan exactly timeline (GANTT chart). I work with my team, that has experience of enterprise, hi-traffic development. The team includes Back-end, front-end, mobile developers and designer - so I responsive for everything, and project will be done without communication issue. One of my success stories - I planed http://mobaff.com - SAAS tracker project as a small tool, then we worked for that during 2 years, and recently it has been sold for $ 6 millions to Matomy. At the time of selling project had over 30 millions clicks per month. Proof: http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-1000860936 http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/matomy-media-group from scratch, till selling that by customer for $6 millions USD. I am always searching for interesting and technically challenging work. I work with Agile Scrum methodologies and produce progress reports on a weekly basis. Before beginning the development work, I will create wireframes and prototypes free of charge, giving you the opportunity to review the details of the project and ensure that we will be doing exactly what you are looking for. Subsequently, I will design the database structure based on wireframes and prototypes, free of charge once again, and confirm the suitability of the design with you. This way, you will know beforehand all the relationships and objects within the system, which will allow us to construct a correct scalable, flexible, architecture. The aim is that you will have a well-planned, structured project development schedule in place before you make any payment. The detailed process how we work: I. Project planning and TOR preparation. Starting a project, we collect information and draw up the terms of reference. You do not need to be technically savvy to prepare TOR. There is also no need for you to go into the complicated technical aspects of creating websites - leave it to us! II. Gathering information about your competitors, preparing a commercial proposal. At this stage, we perform due dilligence and reduce the risks of your project’s failure. III. Developing wireframes and prototypes. Before we start creating a Web site, we provide you with a prototype project. After reviewing the prototype, you can clearly understand how your web project will appear and function, and, if necessary, make changes. In the future you won’t need to waste time on project makeovers and explaining to us how the result should look like. IV. Web design. At this stage we are discussing how your site should look like, considering competitor websites, and developing a graphic design solution that will fully accomplish its mission. Our designers will provide you with 2 versions of project design, after any iterations on conceptual design we will proceed to developing the final, third version. - Why offer 2 designs? - It's very simple. If you have a choice it’s easier for you to explain what you want. V. Website development. At this stage, we arrange regular meetings with you (weekly or biweekly - agile / scrum methodologies). You are always made aware of what’s going with your web project, and are able to make amendments at any stage of the process. This is a huge advantage of our flexible client interaction system. We prefer to make project on symfony 1 or symfony 2 with doctrine-ORM, and keep projects in GIT. VI. Website launch, support and analysis. We will continue to monitor the web project after its launch, and analyze user activity, defining which features they use most often, and how they can be improved. If some of the functions are not used at all, they can be eliminated in order not to overload the website’s functionality. If the job is particularly large or complex, a team of very skilled developers can be assigned to meet any and all of your needs. We are always glad to provide you with code for checking (CodeIgniter, Node.js, Symfony 1 or Symfony 2, etc.) at any stage of development, and we will always undertake to sign any required NDA. I look forward to working with you.
