I am highly proficient in the build, configuration and general administration of many client and server operating systems, such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, as well as Server 2000, 2003 and 2008. I also have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003/2007 and 2010, using Word, Excel and Access throughout my working career. In many of my roles, I have worked with Active Directory; administering user accounts, working with group policies, configuring profiles. I am fully conversant with networking, having configured IP address schemes and set up DHCP on both wired and wireless networks. I have strong working knowledge with Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server) 4.5: building servers and adding them to farms, configuring application publishing, load balancing policies including zone preference and failover. I have very good knowledge of Wyse thin client devices, in my current role, I manage a large number of devices, configuring them to access different Citrix services (including highly secure/isolated services), performing phased firmware updates across the 42 Probation trusts.
I am a self-motivated individual who always strives to increase my technical knowledge and abilities I thoroughly enjoy working with new technology. I have a keen interest in Citrix technologies and feel this is the area I'd like to focus my career aspirations on. I primarily work with XenApp 4.5 but have experience in a lab environment configuring XenApp 6.5 on Xenserver 6.2 running 2008 R2 VM’s.
I work well either individually or as part of a team, in my current role I perform both; whether it be taking on, and seeing through, a project by myself or assisting colleagues, providing advice or helping with their work load.
