Kyrian - Experienced Linux Security/Admin Expert & PHP/Perl Coder
Last active: 06/28/2012
I have worked for a variety of companies (including my own business) for about the last decade on projects including rebuilding a national IP network (getting them onto the LiNX peering exchange, while also saving them money in the long run!), building internal business management systems, website optimisation (for speed, reliability, and indeed search engines), primarily in PHP/MySQL/Apache, but leveraging functionality of Perl (including mod_perl), postgres, and non-apache web servers where they are better suited.
Over decade of experience with Linux, PHP and LAMP solutions, so I can solve pretty much any problem you might have with Linux including optimisation of slow sites or overloading servers, and use of enterprise grade software to manage your systems and spread load etc. Including eCommerce, online survey mangement, construction of numerous Xen hypervisor servers, PHP, Perl, Apache, non-Apache web servers, MySQL, open source software, patching, security, firewalling, application lockdown, security web appliations against exploits, and much more besides.
Member of the Association Of Independent Computer Specialists (AICS) in the UK, and bound by the terms of their code of practise. Happy to sign an NDA.
I've undertaken integration of Paypal and working with existing Splashpay, Worldpay and 'other' payment types, data conversion and scraping for store catalogue uploads, eg. to get product images downloaded from wholesaler websites (with authorisation, of course!) and a lot more besides. I'm happy to undertake any legitimate data scraping exercise for which appropriate permission has been granted.
I've settled into providing comprehensive linux solutions including web development, hosting,. security, optimisation, VPNs, shared windows/SMB drives, etc. for companies that require them. So if you're looking for comprehensive solutions, and ability to talk face to face or by phone to a real expert human being, rather than being frustrated by the limitations or failings of, or lack of advice from a control panel, this is where you should be looking.
I offer a linux systems administration and web development retainer to a number of different customers for different requirements, including upgrading, and emergency response, as well as pro-active securing, optimisation, and monitoring of systems to actively prevent problems, or at least spot them before they become an emergency. I currently do this for a large number of clients and servers, leveraging all sorts of automation and tools to do this very efficiently.
