United States - Tests: 9

Over the last 10 years, I have specialized in e-commerce. I got my start working on simple osCommerce installations. Since then, I have progressed to building and working with highly-customized and integrated platforms, becoming an expert in PHP/MySQL, HTACCESS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and XML. I have also had the opportunity to work extensively with many other frameworks and API's. I have a lot of experience with Google Adwords API, credit card and shipping interfaces, and numerous other external libraries. I enjoy challenge of optimizing applications for peak performance inventing new methods for automation, streamlining back-end operations, and providing custom analytics. I pride myself on being able to jump into a project quickly and to creatively solve nagging problems. Although I do have experience with HTML and CSS, I am in no way a designer. I am strictly a coder, and, simply put, I love my work. I have worked with over 180 clients on 275+ projects. Excellent communication skills and driven work ethic. Codeigniter/Laravel developer,PHP,MySQL,Backend

Russia - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 7

Top Codeigniter/Laravel professional from Russia. I work and think very fast. You get what you pay for. Big, complex projects suit me best. Most of the day time I'm online and available for communication via skype. Expert Codeigniter / Laravel / PHP / MySQL developer who works fast and does the job right. I enjoy challenging, complex projects. Harder is better. PHP test scores in top 10% on oDesk. I have deep Codeigniter experience, and I prefer to use it along with the Bootstrap framework. I can build your application from scratch. Or I can come in and add features or clean up your code (and I'll learn your code structure really fast). Some of my favorite projects include crawlers, database migrations with different structures, SOAP/XML/JSON/REST services, Javascript, and tasks with regexps. But I am always looking for a new challenge that will broaden my experience.

Expert freelance web/application development

United States - Tests: 7

The path which lead me to where I am now began when I was about eight years old. After playing a few games of Baldies, an old real-time strategy game, I asked my mom and dad how video games were made. As soon as they told me that they were programmed, I was on my way and hooked. Within a year, and not without the help of my similarly-minded grandfather, I learned a lot of QBASIC. I soon managed to pick up HTML, as well. After a couple of years, these two began feeling stale to me, and I went on to bigger and better things: Visual Basic 6.0. Not long after, VB6 met the same fate, growing to be too tasteless and limited in its scope and expression. At this point, I introduced myself to PHP. I learned PHP in 2004, when I was enthralled by the idea of running my own internet webgame. I called this game Wizard Duels, which eventually went on to garner a user-base of 5000 before I lost interest and moved on to newer projects. I also started doing some freelance work on the side at this point, to put a little money in my empty, teenager pocket. Doing that freelance work lead me to obtain a PHP5 certification sometime in 2006. In 2007, I took a hiatus from programming, only to return a year later, nothing short of obsessive. I soon latched on to the ideology and concepts of the Ruby programming language. Its expression, to me, is beautiful, concise, and powerful in quite its own way. I've spent the past four or more years, from 2008 to now, expanding and refining my Ruby skill set. I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Central Oklahoma. I am supporting myself through college, which, in these hard times, isn't always the easiest thing to do. Since I already spend most of my time programming, whether for school or personal projects, I imagine it couldn't hurt to try and make my way through my education doing what I already love to study and live to do. Today, I consider myself beyond competent as a programmer. I am easy to work with, reliable, and, once committed to a task, in it to win it. Most importantly, and with as much emphasis as possible, I truly love to code. Programming, to me, is not work: I love it; I live for the act of implementing brilliant ideas. Inhale a problem, exhale solutions.
