  5. Yaroslav Mateyko

    Yaroslav Mateyko

    ANSI C/Lua/PHP Developer

    Ukraine - Tests: 1

First things first, so: I'm a C-developer, it's my primary skill. I have more than 6 years of software development, generally web-oriented, large-scale applications. I love to develop robust, scalable solutions. I've studied different methods of data storage and processing. Algorithms, data structures, binary trees, b-trees, hash algorithms such as linear hashing of Lytvyn and dynamically extensible hashing, all this helped me to understand more deeply the structure of data storage systems and a hardware layer impact for such systems. I'm a Vim-er. I'm not afraid of the command shell and I know how to write, compile, link and debug my applications in several environments including Windows / Mac OS X / Linux using my sweet ANSI C compiler. And I love Lua :) Additional Skills: * Advanced knowledge level of Lua VM internals, I have implemented next modules for Lua VM: libsocket (full support of TCP and UDP, fully transparent IPv4 and IPv6 agnostic code), libutil (for cryptographic digests as SHA256, CRC32 and other utils), libjson (serialization and deserialization of Lua internal data structures), libdb (high performance key-value database engine). All modules are cross-platform and can be compiled for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. * Deep knowledge level of technics for writing high performance custom made servers and network services. Know the difference between sockets polling (event-driven) and threading and then to use one or another. * Good knowledge level of SQL (SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and deep knowledge level in writing of custom non-relational high performance database engines. 6. Joaquín Tumas

    Joaquín Tumas

    Expert AngularJS/FrontEnd Developer

    Argentina - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 1

[ My complete profile can be found on stack overflow careers: http://careers.stackoverflow.com/jtumas ] Hey! I'm an ultra cool ninja master guru god of AngularJS, as I've been working with it for almost almost 1,5 years and before that I was getting job done on backboneJS. More sincerely: I'm a fairly good developer that likes javascript because of its functional, decently modern and it's-fucking-everywhere nature. I did a ton of Yôga, some Aikido, and I also have a cool beard, so perhaps some day I can recall that title. About my working experience: I discovered Angular and fell into its arms pretty fast, I hold (and I think I'm not alone on this) that it's the most efficient way to get big and not so big webapps done today, by balancing its inherent architecture enforcement, TDD focus, good ideas (fake web components FTW) and a passionated community that keeps making awesome plugins and researching for more productive work patterns. Short sentences attempting to describe me I love to make a badass few liners that condenses a huge amount of logic (perhaps some magic with regexps or underscore/lodash mapreducing something), checking it works, and then exploding them in 10 or 15 lines with a couple of comments where they may belong. The code should explain itself without needing to check the comments. Nevertheless a variable that will be defined, used and discarded immediatly may well be called with 1 letter. If you can't justify why you are doing things some way, you are probably doing it wrong. English is not my main language and I may or may not proudly speak with an Slavoj Zizek like diction. PD: we Argentinians (and Uruguayans and some Brazilians) have a herbal beverage that punches coffee in the face as natural energy drink, it's called "mate" (pronounces like 'latte' but with an starting m)

I've been programming different kinds of software systems since 1999, using the following technologies: Python, C, C++, awk, bash, sed, Perl, Forth, Clipper, Harbour, PHP, SAS/Base, SAS/Macro, Java, JavaScript, Tcl, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, Oracle, MongoDB, Django, Celery, and numerous others. In the past, I worked on NLP software, developing a DBMS for linguistic research. Furthermore, I developed various Web portals with responsibilities ranging from consulting and modeling to integration, optimization, and long-term support. Also, I have huge experience in Big Data, including data warehousing, ETL and statistical analysis. My skills also include OS distribution optimization and embedded microprocessor programming. In my work, I am a perfectionist who, at the same time, cares about developing a solution which will be both simple and doing its job well.
