Former Legal Assistant with Extensive Research Experience
Last active: 10/24/2014
I am a former solo practicing attorney looking for a position involving the use of the skills I have attained, while regaining flexibility and independence. I have been self-employed, as well as both the sole office support and a member of an office team. Therefore, I have been a self-starter well-versed in multi-tasking, but also have acquired skills that enable me to be effective in a support role as part of a team. In all positions, computer usage was essential and integral, both for research and document production, as well as for other uses.
As a Legal Assistant in today’s age of technology, a large majority of communication is had through email, thus, I am somewhat familiar with email deliverability practices. On line tutoring very often involves finding web resources for students, and as sessions are timed, it is necessary to find results quickly. As a result, I have become a highly efficient web researcher.
It is important to any employer to have employees who learn quickly and think on their feet. Computer savviness is essential, as are Interpersonal skills and a strong sense of professionalism. Regarding the latter, it is particularly valuable in the context of on line, virtual employment, as contractors are working independently and without any direct supervision. I will deliver all of these to any employer.
