I am a highly motivated contractor with an outstanding skill set in the areas of translation, writing, and editing. Not only I am in first place in the Spanish Vocabulary Skills test, but I also scored in the top 10 per cent in eight oDesk tests (U.S. English Basic Skills, U.S. English Punctuation and Mechanics, Creative Writing-Fiction, Spanish Sentence Structure , MS Word 2007, Windows XP, Spanish to English Translation, and Office Skills) In addition, I perform my work with the highest sense of professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail.
As a multilingual translator (English, Spanish, Catalan), I have translated legal documents (contracts, wills, demand letters, etc), academic documents (transcripts, articles, syllabi, etc), medical documents (health insurance contracts, prescriptions, test results, etc), business documents (contracts, letters, memoranda, fliers, etc.). I have also acted as interpreter for therapists, medical doctors, attorneys, and business people.
As a multilingual writer (English, Spanish, Catalan), I have written a large amount of original documents including technical documents, short stories, poetry, academic papers, etc. In addition to have published a law review article in volume 20 of the Glendale Law Review, I have been maintaining several blogs for a number of years. I also wrote articles for several student newsletters during my years as a law student in Universitat de Barcelona (Barcelona University).
As an editor, I have served as editor-in-chief of the Glendale Law Review for over five years. I also served as Editor-in-Chief of the monthly newsletter Pirri Manson published in Universitat de Barcelona, Facultat de Dret (Barcelona University, College of Law) from 1996 to 2000.
I joined oDesk looking for any translating/writing/editing opportunity that will take advantage of my experience and of my above-average writing skills.
