My name is Jenniffer Alejandra Norori Perez. I want to take a moment first to thank ODesk for giving me the opportunity to be part of this exciting way of working. I have been part of the call center environment for 7 years now. My path started as a collections agent for an American company in where I discovered and developed my passion for cold calling, outbound calling and dealing with troubled customers who really needed assistance with their debts. Providing a solution to them was a pleasure along with the fact that it felt great to be the one on the other side of the line thinking outside of the box for them.
Like everything in life it came to an end, sadly but with the experience gained I had to move along and came across an exciting task, Outbound Sales!!!.... The best experience ever. Performing that job gave me the chance to develop different hidden skills I did not even knew I had in me. As time passed by newer and better opportunities came along, I came across something relative new to me... Bonus structure... This gave me the key to a different type of motivation, a motivating reward for my efforts of performing quality sales. As years passed by like in everything else ECONOMY did its part and the company had to perform an early retirement from business.
Things don´t always turn as we plan them, but change is good, is the way we deal with it what makes it better. I had thought my call center career was over until a unique company came along and requested my services to be able to perform what I still loved the most, SALES!!... There I was, starting over again, fresh and excited with a new challenge in hands. I loved the experience because it was a different type of sales, INBOUND SALES!!!... Really challenging, at the beginning I thought... Piece of Cake... But what a surprise to come across savvy customers who knew what I had to offer before I even brought it up, never the less I took the challenge and learned how to highlight based on what they already had what it could be more beneficial and less cost effective for them.
The motto ¨The Customer is Always Right¨¨ became a law for me, focusing mostly on the customers WINs ( Wants, Interests & Needs )... Everything became then a Piece of Cake because I really started enjoying my job to the fullest. As time passed Consumers Law changed and our sales campaign had to be closed. Fortunately the company itself recognized our skills and decided to move us to their customer service department. So there I was again, facing a new challenge.
In a short period of time customer service to me became a delight. Having the opportunity to help a customer in need became fun and enjoyable. Different scenarios everyday was like a mind challenge to me.
Everything that has happened to me has been a blessing when it comes to learning experience. Lately I started doing appointment set ups for a Canadian company, which is honestly an interesting twist where I had discovered that Sales and Customer service skills will always go by the hand.
Life will give us the tool to build our own path, is how we use those tools what will make us successful...
And that brings me here, to this place, where I am... Trying again to have the opportunity to keep doing what I enjoy the most, performing a quality service.
