En-Sp Translator / Visual Artist
Last active: 11/23/2011
As a translator: I am a Spanish native speaker, and I have been an English to Spanish freelance translator for a major antivirus company for the last 6 years. My experience is based mostly on translating the content of its website and articles about malware, online threats and IT security. Over time, the company has increased my responsibilities and for the last three years I have also been writing news for their website, in which I explore topics such as cybercrime, online attacks, etc.
As a visual artist: I have been studying and working as a visual artist for over 8 years. In my formal studies, I focused on sculpture, and I like to translate my interest on volume, textures and materials into my bidimensional work. I really enjoy mixing different media and materials. Since I'm an artist and not a graphic designer, I believe that my work, when I'm allowed to work freely, has certain edge that is hard to find. However, I'm also open to suggestions on projects that require me to follow a certain style or direction. I like to feel proud of every image I make, and I spend a long time envisioning and creating them to be as original and innovative as possible. For that reason, I try to stay away from projects that need to be done on a tight schedule, require me to imitate another person's work or recreate generic images.
As a profesional: I am very responsable, organized and good at meeting deadlines. I always try to create a healthy and professional work environment and I expect to work with people who can offer me one (by giving clear instructions from the beginning, paying on time, etc.). I'm always looking for new challenges that can help me develop my work.
