Freelance Translator (Japanese - English - Malay)

Malaysia - Last active: 6 days ago

Translation is about presenting the message in other language. From here, it can help the whole world be able to communicate even with a different language. In addition, in order to be better at the second or third language, it is important to practice it in daily basis, whether in writing or oral, especially if you are not the native speaker of that particular language. Hence, work such as translation and interpretation can help in improving ourselves. I never miss a chance to explore and gain more experience as this will also help us get to know the other culture. I have been working as a freelance translators, translated the documents in various fields such as IT, General law, electrical, electronic, games, animation etc. from Japanese language to English, vice versa, or sometimes English to Malay language.

    Japanese - English Translator

Japan - Last active: 10 days ago

Japanese is structurally very different from English and Japan has distinct and unique culture, which makes the Japanese - English one of the most difficult language pair to translate in the world. Having majored in Economics at the university and worked mostly in banks for many years where I used both languages interchangeably, I understand such differences and place high emphasis on translation that makes clear sense, is accurate and relevant in its context to convey the original meaning. I translate documents in general, business/finance (banking and credit rating, in particular), as well as technical/engineering (IT, machinery and civil engineering, in particular) areas mostly from Japanese to English, but can work equally well the other way around. I work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Trados Studio 2014.
