Jon Mandell

Passionate iPhone Developer

United States - Tests: 1

I have done a variety of iPhone Apps, but the more significant ones I've done have involved displaying content from websites and webservices. This includes authentication with server, storing passwords in the iPhone keychain, or just scraping websites. I can use SOAP or REST or other formats for HTML data communication, whichever your organization uses. I've also used JSON data structure. I convert all these formats to iPhone Objective-C Data (using plists to Core Data), for displaying your data in the wonderful iPhone user interface features that iPhone users come to expect. So far these have been for a few large companies that have their own app store for their employees. A little about me. After years of developing control systems programs for industries I decided to retire from my "day job" and really do something I'm passionate about ... which is programming applications for the amazing iPhone. Since I'm retired, my second career can be for the enjoyment more than the money. Therefore I can provide very cost effective iPhone applications for you to provide to your customers. http://www.mandellmobileapps.com

Ted Bendixson

Ted Bendixson

Creative Writer and iPhone App Entrepreneur

United States - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 1

THESE ARE MY TERMS: -Project minimum of $150 -My hourly rate is $50/hr. No less. -Please do not contact me unless you are willing to work within these terms. My name is Ted Bendixson, and I'm a freelance writer who specializes in PR content, blogging, and copywriting. I believe that the simplest message is often the best one, so I really focus on figuring out who you are and what matters most to your customers. Seriously, that's it. No rocket science here. My clients come from all over the world. I've helped out numerous web start ups, creative professionals, software development companies, popular websites, and countless other small to medium sized businesses. I'm really good at figuring out what gets people curious so they keep reading. I know how to do it because I've experienced success with my own blog. The following is my website / blog where you can learn more about who I am, how I write, and some of the advice I have for other freelancers, entrepreneurs, and online professionals. http://www.tedbendixson.com I am also an iPhone application developer and entrepreneur. Last year, my team and I released an iPhone app that generates a healthy return for us. I know what a good idea for an app looks like, how to build up hype for a release, and how to continue to make sales long after you put yourself out there. I'm also fluent in Objective C and Xcode, the languages of the iPhone. One little note about the pay rate I have listed. I charge what I charge in order to offset the other activities I have to do to run my business. $50 per hour might seem like a lot, but when you're spending a few hours each day writing emails and looking for that next big client, you just have to charge that much to stay afloat. Also, because I am self-employed, I have to pay all of my social security and health insurance myself. So realize that you're getting the highest quality writing from any contractor you're likely to find, and it's at a rather competitive rate. Most of my clients don't require more than one revision for any piece I write, and if you ever require more than two revisions, we might just have to go our separate ways. Sometimes it's simply a matter of compatibility. I've had a few of the same clients for years, and I hope you can be one of them.

Video Game Developer

United States - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 3

You wouldn’t build a house without a hiring a general contractor, so why would you attempt to build a game without working with a producer? Developing a video game in many respects is very much like building a house. It requires a lot of different people with a lot of specialized talents. If you’re not careful, you might end up hiring an electrician to do your plumbing. Sure it’s possible he could get the job done, but the outcome probably won’t be what you were expecting, and the results could be fatal. The video game industry is a high risk, high reward business. In order to provide yourself the best chance of completing the game you have in mind for the budget you have set aside, you need someone who is experienced in the game development cycle. Someone who can make sure you have qualified personnel, someone to make sure your team is hitting milestones, and finally someone who can inspire and get the most out of the team members working on your project. I have been involved in the video game industry for over 8 years. During that time I have worked on games for consoles all the way down to mobile. Before you even write a single line of code, make sure you have someone experienced drawing up the blueprints for the “house” you want to make. Whether you’re looking for someone to manage an entire project from beginning to end, or oversee it from time to time in order to make sure everything is firing on all cylinders, contact me to learn how I can help you minimize risk and costs for developing your title.

Hello! I am a software developer from Brooklyn, New York. My main focus currently is software development for iOS, Apple Watch and AppleTV devices using both Objective-C and Swift. I have worked on projects that vary widely in content, including eCommerce, games, audio creation, social and GPS. I'm very well acquainted with Apple's Cocoa Touch frameworks, in addition to prevalent 3rd party frameworks such as Parse, Pusher and Sinch just to name a few. I'm very active in the open source community, and embrace using open source tools in my projects. In addition to iOS, I also have experience creating front-end web experiences using Javascript, HTML and CSS. Even if I haven't listed a technology or feature you have in mind for your project, I'm probably familiar with it. Feel free to reach out and I'm sure I can be of assistance, no matter which stage of your idea or project you may be.
