Expert Project Manager and Web Developer

    Bulgaria - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 4 - Portfolio: 2

I've worked as a Web developer (mostly in PHP 5/MySQL although I started in Perl and I've also done some Ruby on Rails) since 1999 (yes, there was a World Wide Web back then) but I've been a project manager in the past years. I'm looking for some extra work so I can keep my development skills in shape (and because I still love programming).

    *nix geek

    Russia - Last active: 9 days ago - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 1

Over the last 10 years, I was working with *nix-like OSes. I started from FreeBSD and OpenBSD, and now I use mostly Gentoo Linux. I have developed a big bunch of parsers/small scripts, configured a lot of different software. I have experience with a few different programming languages, mostly Python and bash. I've tried myself in web development (using flask, mongodb, a little of jQuery, etc). At my main job I work as a DevOps/Systems administrator. I use Ansible, ElasticSearch, Gitlab with Gitlab CI, pacemaker, docker, and many more cool things! I also mentor junior developers. Right now I need some extra money, so I'd love to do the following: 1) Ongoing sysadmin stuff. RAID, gmirror, software installation, compilation 2) Automation tasks with Ansible 3) Work with docker containers, write dockerfiles. 4) Do some Python coding to glue things together I can dedicate a few hours every day with more hours on holidays. I usually work between 7-10am CST (8-11am EST).

    Usability Consultant and Conversion Specialist

    United Kingdom - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 2

WHO AM I? I am Samuel and I work for a digital marketing company that specialise in conversion rate optimisation and I am the usability expert. I review websites (often for SME's) and produce professional audits (video screen recording, commentary, written report) that have helped hundreds of website owners boost sales. You can find out more about me here: http://www.usabilityaudits.co.uk/about-me *** 55% of visitors spend less than 1 minute on a website! *** - Poor navigation, too much text, poor typography and poor page layout are just some of the many causes of friction I will review YOUR website rigorously and give YOU a list of recommendations that will be straightforward, quick to implement and will increase YOUR online sales If your site converts 5 in 100 visitors and changes I recommend make that 6 in 100 then your online sales increase by 20% Conversion rate improvements of 50-100% are not unheard of, 20% is common. MY METHODOLOGY I have a whole range of tools I can implement to test a website, here are a few: The 5 second test involves looking at your site with 'fresh eyes' looking away and recalling what I remember. Was it clear what the service on offer was? What were my first impressions? This is key to bounce rates. Product and checkout page analysis is essential for conversion rates. And dummy purchases can highlight other usability issues. - Plan the Audit / Review of your website (tailored to your website / needs) - Produce an edited and professional usability video (short sample - http://bit.ly/1ywAqTU) - Produce a written report (with screenshots and callouts) - Email and upload it to your email * You will be left with constructive objective feedback plus suggestions and examples of where you can improve your website* I WILL make sure YOU are 100% happy. https://twitter.com/UsabilityAudit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCvkekFzy5g 07535334094 usabilityaudit@gmail.com
