Having completed my Bachelors in Computer Engineering & gaining a work experience of 2.6 years in one of the India’s leading software company, Infosys Ltd., I believe I do have the necessary skills & qualities to take on the projects posted & do justice to whatever work I have been assigned.
While in University of Mumbai, I enjoyed the entire curriculum, but, I enjoyed learning Data structures, Computer Graphics, Analysis of Algorithms, and Intelligent Systems since they provided the opportunity to create my own innovations, gave me the chance to create new things.
I have tried to explore as much of my chosen field as is possible at the undergraduate level, but the available resources were not adequate to satiate my appetite for the subject. Absolutely besotted by the knowledge that I gained in the classroom, I sought to supplement it by attending workshops and learned languages like JAVA, SQL, C, and C++. I also learned Computer Networks and Computer Graphics. Excited by the extent of the knowledge gained, I participated in Oracle’s workforce Development Program held in college and completed its first module ‘Introduction to Oracle 9i: SQL’.
As an employee of Infosys Ltd., India, for more than 1.2 years I have received trainings in Java, Unix, C, C++, SQL, PL/SQL. I have been working on several projects and thus, got acquainted with targets to be met within rigid schedules. I learned to work with teams of individuals, not all in the same location, to achieve the goal of creating a good product. I once got the opportunity to lead a team of 8 members due to absence of a team lead for a period of 4 months. I performed fairly well in that time frame for which I was awarded with an award named “Call of Duty”.
Apart from the major languages that I have mentioned above, my coursework as a graduate student have helped me enhance my programming skills by addition of C#, .NET, DirectX in my programming knowledge stack. Also, I do have fairly good experience working with tools such as Unity, Blender & Maya.
