My goal as a freelancer is to effectively fulfill the client's requirements, making sure that they are satisfied with the end product while maintaining a strong focus on pragmatism, functionality, and timeliness.
I have six years of self-taught programming experience, focusing mainly on OOP languages like Java, C++, and Python. However, I pride myself on my ability to learn new languages and concepts easily and to adapt to different paradigms given new requirements. I am currently enrolled at UC Berkeley studying computer science, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. I am also pursuing a double major in bioengineering.
My current personal projects include:
- a neural network-based music recommendation engine utilizing heavily concurrent audio signal processing modules.
- a mobile application to extract text from images and provide a translated overlay into another language.
- a browser extension using machine learning and sentiment analysis techniques to identify potential bias in news articles.
I have extensive experience in group programming, individual assignments, and software management. I am currently in charge of a group of fifteen high school students with limited programming experience, whose end goal is to produce a robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
