I have a master's degree in Educational Technology and a graduate certificate in Online Teaching to Adult Learners. I specialize in creating online courses that follow the Quality Matters rubric as I successfully completed the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric certification. I understand how adults learn and incorporate andragogy into the course design. I follow multimedia principles when designing eLearning to help students learn. I have knowledge of graphic design principles. I am an expert in document formatting/re-formatting.
I work as an eLearning and Instructional Designer consultant. My clients include the World Bank, KeelWorks foundation, International Women's Group, Tally Ho Toastmasters, to name just a few. I am also a teaching assistant for the Certificate for Online Adjunct Teachers (COAT) offered by MarylandOnline.
I enjoy presenting and training adults about instructional design, course design, online teaching, variety of eLearning and Web 2.0 tools, and social media.
I am Microsoft Office Certified Specialist. During my projects, I mostly use the following tools and software:
Adobe Acrobat Pro, Captivate, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Moodle, Blackboard, Google Apps, Keynote, Pages, Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Articulate Storyline, Jing, etc.
