I'm an Apple guy.
My focus is iOS applications - it's what I love, and by far my strongest skill set.
I got my start in mobile by creating several indie apps for Palm OS. By the time iOS 3.0 was released, I had already started learning Objective C.
In 2014, I was in Moscone Center cheering as Swift was unveiled to the world. I'm fairly familiar with it at this point, but am taking a conservative approach to implementation. The language is maturing fast and I expect to be writing Swift code for production soon.
I'm active in my local developer community, and always looking to learn new things (Go, React Native, and so on).
I currently work out of two coworking facilities: one in my hometown, Lancaster, and the other in Old City Philadelphia. I'm a huge fan of coworking and the communities that it creates and fosters.
Lest you think I'm a mobile-only guy, I have extensive background in general software development. In the past, I've worked with .NET + Microsoft SQL/T-SQL, web front end technologies (HTML5/CSS3/JQuery/PHP), C/C++, and even assembly way back in the day.
In the interest of becoming the best mobile developer possible, I've chosen to focus exclusively on iOS development for the time being. That said, I'm deeply fascinated by language fundamentals and 'good' programing practices, and I continue to invest heavily in learning new tech. I won't be iOS forever.
