I also have experience with communications management and outreach work, both for the Wikimedia Foundation and a variety of other tech and non-tech organizations. I've trained more than a thousand Wikipedia editors successfully, mostly in an academic setting and in the process both mastered many Wikipedia-specific trainings that can be tailored to different groups and purposes, and picked up general instructional design and execution skills that could be applied to a wide variety of other fields. I'm tied to the Greater San Diego area for the moment, but am actively seeking out new opportunities that fit my skillset and interests, even if they're in areas that differ from those I've touched on before.
