    Javascript | Python | C | Linux

    Australia - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 8 - Portfolio: 6

I am an experienced software developer who has written code in several languages but I presently specialize in Python and Javascript. In the past I have worked in C and C++. The software projects I undertake on oDesk/Upwork are typically of the following nature: - Python and/or Javascript web development with some CSS3/HTML5 layout work - Numeric Python (NumPy) development, code optimisation and performance rewrites in C My primary development platform is Unix (OS X/Linux) and I greatly enjoy working with open source. While first and foremost a programmer, I have broad familiarity with topics such as HTTP/RESTful protocols, TCP/IP, firewalls, web servers such as Apache & nginx. If you are looking for someone to do your homework, I decline all such jobs on principle. If you want to offer me work at rates below my advertised rate, you are probably wasting both your time and mine - unless it is something open-source and really unique. I'm always happy to freely discuss or advise on projects that involve the above technologies.

I was in the Accounting Honors program at Ohio State and I'm a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). The opportunities I'm looking for would involve financial/data analysis, strategic consulting, automation of processes, setting accounting policies, or product pricing (I'm pretty flexible though, so even if a project doesn't fit in any of these categories I'd still be interested to hear about it). I have good experience with: -Financial and data analysis -Business and valuation models -Budgeting and forecasting -Excel VBA macros -Python scripts for web scraping/data mining -SQL queries -Application of accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS) -Process improvement and internal controls You can also check out my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/adam-tzagournis-cpa/78/467/120
