User Experience Researcher, UX Designer, IA

    United Kingdom - Last active: 23 hours ago - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 1

I am a user experience consultant with a history of working with startups and world famous brands across multiple industries to define ideas, identify audiences and blueprint user interfaces. You can view my portfolio at: www.wearefuego.com My LinkedIn profile is here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/andygreenwood2009 Expert in understanding your audience and modelling solutions to meet their requirements up to wireframe prototype level. Comfortable with producing deliverables and documentation for commercial and technical audiences with communication skills developed through working with a range of organisations from blue chip to start up. Frequently Asked Questions What software do you use for wireframing/prototyping? I prefer using Axure as it is one of the most powerful packages and I am an expert user meaning I can produce high quality wireframes and clickable prototypes in a shorter time. I am proficient in many other packages such as Balsamiq, Invision and Omnigraffle. How do you approach remote user testing? There are a range of options out there for usability testing on a remote basis. Some moderated by external parties, others unmoderated. I will take you through the options available but I always recommend the most effective (and free of software cost) method of using a conferencing facility such as Skype or Gotomeeting and sharing screens. This allows me to run the testing session live and be reactive to the subject as they use the product, questioning based on their usage.

    Access Developer

    United States - Last active: 19 days ago - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 1

Some developers like to do a little of everything (the ones with all of the acronyms after their names), but I think that makes it difficult to become an expert in one area. I love Access and that's all I want to do. When properly designed, Access is the fastest (and therefore the least expensive) tool to create desktop applications. I have over 13 years experience developing Access applications, and I have a lot of code already written in my personal library that can be reused on other projects, thus saving time and reducing errors. I prefer to develop Access Applications from scratch (with either an Access or SQL Server back-end database) -- that way, I can make sure it is done correctly from the beginning. I can also clean up applications created by others, and organize / import your data in a way that keeps everything connected. I understand database design and how information in one table relates to information in other tables. I can write complex VBA code (there isn't any problem I haven't been able to solve, one way or another, in Access). I can merge Access data with PDF reports, send emails through Outlook and post the entry in a Contact Log, import / export data to other applications such as Excel, and create Administrator screens that allow the Admins to configure the database (so you don't have to run back to the developer every time you want to make a simple change). My key skills include: • Excellent analysis skills. I have the ability to sort through information, identify key problems, and focus on effective solutions. • Adaptable communicator. Since I have worked as both a programmer and a business analyst, I can communicate effectively with stakeholders with various information needs. • Strong emphasis on customer service. I help customers identify what they want, and then deliver on time and under budget. • Effective project management skills. I focus on clearly identifying the requirements and documenting them in a way that the customer can understand. Then I develop the solution iteratively, allowing the customers an early view of the work so they can give early feedback, thus reducing miscommunication and lowering project costs. If you are looking for an expert who does quality work efficiently, please contact me.
