  4. Nicholas Rankin

    Nicholas Rankin

Classically trained musician with commercial arranging experience.

    United States - Tests: 2

Performer and composer, well-versed in many genres of music: classical, jazz, rock, funk, soul, cinematic, etc. I typically have a fast turnaround on any project I take, and have the tools necessary to help make the music you want and need for your project - whether that's a film, video game, or music video. Your project will sound as great as it looks - guaranteed. I pursued my Bachelor's in Classical Performance at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where I also took composition on the side. I have chosen to continue on with graduate school there as well, this time taking a keener interest in commercial styles of playing, composing, and arranging. Specific strengths: -In terms of arranging, I can do anything you want. Horn line for a soul chart? Easy. Harmonizing a jazz piece? Wonderful. Have a film score that's just piano, but want a full orchestration? You'll have it quick. I've trained (and am always sharpening my skills) to be able to help people make their music sound as good as they hear it in their heads. -In terms of composition, my personal style is typically orchestral in nature, though I enjoy writing jazz charts and electronica as well. I also enjoy world/ethnic music, and try to incorporate those elements where appropriate. That being said, I'll write in any style you need. What you can expect of me: -Knowledgeable of just about every Western genre and instrument. (And a few Eastern ones, too!) This knowledge is based on my own research and backed up with the various performing opportunities I have found both in school and in the professional world. -A fast turnaround on the work you ask of me. While the turnaround changes based on the project's needs, my personal goal is to get you your music at a rate slightly faster than industry standard (ex. On average, it takes an entire working day to write two complete minutes of film score music - my goal is to give you three. A small difference, but one that adds up significantly in the long run). -Devotion to the project. I will stick the project out to the very end, and will ensure that it is made/performed entirely to your satisfaction. No corners will be cut.

  5. Taylor Smith

    Taylor Smith

House cleaner, nursing home volunteer, baby sitter, caring for animals

    United States - Tests: 8

Hello! My work experience is years of cleaning houses for the elderly, many hours of volunteer work at a local nursing home, baby sitting, and taking care of animals. As for my education status, I graduated high school and consistently made almost all straight A's. I am fairly fast at typing on the computer and have many years of experience using computers. I would probably be great in customer service or answering questions because I am very patient, polite, understanding, and kind. I also am able to explain things in a way that almost anybody can grasp, even kids. Even though I don't have any work experience as a Freelancer, please do not dismiss me for that. I will prove myself as a dependable client. Anyone interested in hiring me will find that I am very polite and ready to follow orders. I will conduct myself very professionally. Here is some additional, less important information about me. I live in Pennsylvania, my birth place. I am 21 years of age. At the moment, I prefer payment through a Paypal account but may open up a bank account in the future if it may be easier. Although it's an odd number, I'm asking for $12.22 wage so that I can make 10 dollars, since Odesk and Paypal each take out a dollar fee. I see that it's recommended to make a video, but I don't have a recorder. If you have any questions or concerns, please message me. I look forward to hearing from potential employers!

By day I am a professional copywriter at a medium-sized marketing agency in Greensboro, North Carolina.
