At present I am completing my first year under a dual PhD studentship scheme at Hong Kong Baptist University (in partnership with the University of Westminster, London). I previously taught Advertising and Art History at the University of Santo Tomas, España Manila and ESL (English as a Second Language) at Enderun Colleges, Bonifacio Global City, Philippines.
I obtained my BA in Interdisciplinary Art Studies from the University of the Philippines and MA in Visual Culture from University of Westminster, London. I have 7 years of professional experience, which counts my administrative/paralegal career and my museum/gallery, advertising, film and media stints. I specialise visual art, exhibition design, photography, graphic and web design, digital multimedia, video and film. I also occasionally write songs, theatre pieces, and poetry.
I am an expert user of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Premiere, and Dreamweaver. I am also proficient in WordPress themes and HTML5.
I scored 8.0 twice in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
I a member of the Asia-Europe Foundation University or ASEFUAN (Singapore), The Poetry Society (UK) and the Japan Association for Cultural Economics or JACE (Japan).
Recent collaborations include my calligraphy work in ‘Fishes of Light’ / ‘Peces de Luz’ (2013) by poet laureate Marjorie Evasco and dramatist Alex Fleites; my libretto for Ageless Passion (2011), a musicale with original music by Filipino Maestro Ryan Cayabyab; and my calligraphy, logo design and concept art for Earth.Ø (2012), a transmedia project in London conceptualised by Yen Ooi.
My interests include art, art history, aesthetics, graphic design, webdesign, video and film production and editing, theater and performance, poetry, among others. Academic disciplines that also interest me include arts and culture, visual culture, cultural economics, media and communications, art production, new media, social media, participation, and collaboration.
