Experienced Corona Mobile Game and App Programmer with Benefits

United States - Last active: 6 days ago - Portfolio: 7

Hello! I'm an experienced and published mobile app and game developer. I've primarily used the Corona SDK for my cross platform game development. I've worked extensively on: * Box2D physics * Many of the Corona plugins (analytics, Facebook, all Ad platforms, etc.) * Cloud services (AppWave and App42, etc.) * Real-time multiplayer * In-app Purchasing * Push notifications * Advertising monetization (video, banner, interstitial, incentive) * Data storage (SQLite, JSON, cloud) Aside from coding, I also do quite a bit of drawing for basic graphic assets. I've done 100% of the assets for each of my games. I wouldn't call my design abilities a core strength rather a supporting ability where I can draw UI controls, basic sprites, etc. without the need for an artist. I'm available full time or as needed starting any time. No preference for team size or project stage. I work well with small or large teams and don't mind jumping into an existing codebase or starting from scratch. As for the **benefits**, I also have an existing codebase for general services that I don't mind reusing (with no licensing attached). Services include: * Complete In-App purchasing store * Real-time multiplayer framework * Push notifications and deep linking * Cloud based promotional services * Progression features including player profiles, leveling, perks and rewards, etc. * Facebook Login integration * Analytics Prior to the recent time I've spent developing games, I worked as a lead engineer in the mobile telecom world for over 12 years as a server side enterprise Java developer and SDK/tools developer. **Portfolio** I have 15 games published on the Google Play store, and 15 on the App Store as well. These games were all solo projects. I've done all design, development, and publishing. Richard Sharon

    Software Developer

    United States - Last active: 08/08/2014 - Tests: 7

I am a creative, effective and highly adaptive software engineer with a 37 year track record of innovation. I've designed, developed, maintained, and supported software and databases using a wide variety of technologies including: SQL Databases: DB2, MS SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite, Paradox, DBase, MS Access. Other databases including SAS, IMS DB, IDMS, VSAM. Database design using Normalization and Entity/Relationship Diagrams. Programming Languages: Delphi, C/C++, Pascal, Perl, REXX, SAS, SAS Macros, PL/1, Fortran, BASIC, various macro languages, CLISTs, CMS Execs, and light experience with Visual Basic. Application frameworks including VCL, DevExpress VCL components, FireMonkey, CXL, CICS, IMS DC, ISPF Dialog Manager, and ADF. I've also done some light work with Embarcadero's HTML5 Builder. Various data reporting and query engines including Business Objects, Crystal Reports, QMF, and embedding SQL queries in Excel. Systems Analysis using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (Coad/Yourdon) and extensive experience with various Structured Development LifeCycle Methodologies (SDLCs included Yourdon/DeMarco/Page-Jones, Warnier/Orr, Jackson). I've done light study and experimentation with Theory of Constraints process modeling (TOC). Targeted product platforms included Windows, MS DOS, zOS / MVS, TSO, VM/CMS, DOS/VS, and light work for Unix, Macintosh, Android, and iOS. I've designed, developed, and maintained websites using Joomla, FrontPage, NetObjects Fusion, and other tools. I also worked briefly with Wordpress blogs. I've done consulting, data collection, and reporting for software metrics and software product/project sizing (using Function Points and Lines of Code using Boehm's COCOMO model). My products have had high impact e.g. I developed a software performance database and GUI graphing "Prospector" toolkit that saved one company $6-8 million dollars per year, for 6+ consecutive years, by enabling them to rapidly prioritize high impact software re-engineering and problem diagnosis. During one my Prospector demos, one audience member said "you've just done in 1-2 minutes what takes me 8-10 hours every day". During one Y2K conversion project, I designed and created automation to diagnose and remediate database impact. It eliminated more than a thousand hours of labor from the project. Another system I refactored had about 1,000 modules ALL needing modifications EVERY year. I redesigned it into about 100 comparable reusable/sharable modules, with only about 10 needing modifications per year. Doing so dramatically reduced support labor. Shortly after I joined Sabre Holdings in 1982, they became one of the first American companies to use IBMs DB2, I was one of the first Sabre technologists to pioneer using DB2, as both Database Administrator (DBADM) and application developer.
