Software and Web Developer with Strong Writing Skills
Last active: 1 month ago
While I do work on startups and brand new creations, I am most often brought in to troubleshoot, fix and/or update existing sites and platforms. In some cases, I consult and assist with hiring the right developers for the job.
I'm also a longtime blogger and writer. I've written a popular blog for years (since removed) and have done small article-writing assignments for others, including history articles, first-person perspectives (man on the scene), reviews of laser printers, and general interest. I've also done a fair amount of editing on the work of others, including dissertations, resumés, blog posts, and college assignments.
My own experience includes writing non-fiction narratives, technology reviews, business (including B2B) service reviews, technical documentation (including how-to articles with screenshots), and personal experiences.
I have worked in a variety of industries which has permitted me to incorporate depth and background issues easily into my writing, giving the average reader a solid understanding of the subject matter of each piece.
I'm familiar with content management systems and the editing and review process. I have been using word processors to write since I was 12, starting with WordStar, then WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, and moving into modern word processors like Microsoft Word, and more recently, online tools like Google Docs and SkyDrive (now OneDrive).
