Hi my name is Alex Zweben! Whilst my professional passion is for medicine, I have always had a deep appreciation for English Literature and writing. As an undergraduate at Brandeis University, I concentrated in pre-medical sciences, with a minor in English Literature. In addition, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Third World Development, an independent major I designed to gain not only a scientific understanding of the human body, but to incorporate the critical politico-economic, psychosocial, and cultural aspects that comprise the environment in which individuals live and simultaneously affect and are affected by. I believe that this additional knowledge is an advantage in the healthcare field, and is integral to understanding a patient as a whole and providing the most effective and appropriate care possible. Since graduation, I’ve worked as a medical director at three summer camps and was a medical scribe at Kingston Hospital for almost a year. I’m currently taking a few post-baccalaureate pre-medical classes at the University of Albany and trying to earn tuition money for medical school with my passion for the English language and literature.
