Slightly OCD (or CDO, for alphabetical accuracy;), so I love to analyze, and resolve. I also like to jump between thinking creatively and thinking in a linear fashion, so I like to do more than one thing whenever possible. The internet has been a great help in making my portfolio a little diverse. But before I learned of its benefits, I learned how to design logos, edit photography, compose print ads and whip up creative concepts for advertising campaigns. I even got to edit or create the videos for those very ads we created. (By "we", I mean the company through which I did my internship). I did voice overs for them as well; although I have been told that I have a strange mix between a New Zealand, British, and American accent when recording voice overs. ...I don’t know what to say to that. Nowadays though, I mainly assist in online marketing efforts for two UK companies and a few other businesses from around the world. I focus mainly on website optimization, a little bit of website design, online and PPC campaigns, social media marketing and email marketing. Then I work on optimizing each of these areas to ensure they all work together smoothly, so that each company gets a better return on their investment. I achieve this using a variety of analytics, personalization and automation tools. On a side note, I’m half way through a French language course by Assimil (I highly recommend them), but have recently been distracted by the Russian language when I discovered that some of my colleagues could speak it fluently. So I figured it would be a better use of my time to learn a language that I could receive critique for by "said" colleagues, whilst simultaneously providing them with some amusement. I have a Spanish pack on the shelf too, and I really want to learn Italian! If you're desperate though, I can order you a coffee in French. With or without milk ;) I've worked for businesses and individuals from Australia, the United Kingdom, Israel, the United States and South Africa - without ever having to leave the comfort of my office space. I can speak a little Afrikaans too, by the way - but I may end up saying something I never meant to :)
