Embedded Systems Engineer
Last active: 11/19/2013
I am an excellent embedded systems engineer, with 24 years of experience and a history of successful projects. I have worked at various levels of abstraction, and have concluded that the closer I am to the hardware, the happier I am.
I have a degree in electrical engineering and am pursuing a degree in computer engineering. I just completed a Certificate Program in UNIX in August 2011.
I am creative, thorough, and diligent in my work, and like to work with both the hardware and the software sides of the problem.
I have worked in a variety of fields, including robotics, medical research, consumer electronics, and military.
I prefer to write embedded software mostly in C, with a little assembly as required. I am comfortable with Real Time Operating Systems including FreeRTOS, uC/OS, and Nucleus. I write very good documentation.
My hardware expertise includes 8/16/32 bits CPUs, from PICs to ARM9 to Cortex-M3. I am comfortable with various interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, and USB. I have written code for a wide variety of things, including graphical and non-graphical user interfaces, numerous sensors (temperature, ADC, accelerometer, magnetometer, and others), and motion control.
