Customer Service Refinement and Management l Creative Writing

    Philippines - Last active: 10/22/2014 - Tests: 5 - Portfolio: 28

On Customer Service: My communication skills, passion to please and ability to genuinely care for others have landed me into a very rewarding and fulfilling job as a Customer Service Representative, promoted me to Customer Service Consulting and Refinement in just one month's time ( see http://screencast.com/t/rcGb2VtF) and to a Human Resource Manager in the subsequent month. Solving customers'; problems and making them feel good even in the most trying times is a great privilege that I cherish daily and the driving force that propels me on. On Writing: I'm an artist by heart, so everything I do results in a marriage of excellence and beauty. In the same manner that I can make a picture paint a thousand words, I can also paint a thousand pictures with my words. My passion for writing stemmed from my love affair with the English language and my innate zest for life. Give me a dead topic and I will fashion it, mold it, give it a lovely form, breath life into it and animate it. Whatever you want, however you want it. One of my strengths is that I am able to look at one scenario from different point of views. In the end, it's not about the writer, it's all about the reader, so I don't care whether I'm recognized or not. All I want to do is to contribute to the well-being of my collective self present in all thoughts, for in reality, I am my own reader in the person of all others. - Jean

I am a design consultant with over 15 years in the design world helping businesses promote themselves effectively. My experience includes all aspects of design including extensive knowledge of publication design. In addition, I have considerable experience in web design, web banners, popups, landing pages and full sites. I consider the entire User Experience, combining that with excellent use of color, spacial consideration and typography. I do not code, I design, but do have excellent programmers at my disposal. I have found that great designers do not make great programmers, and great programmers do not make great designers. When we all utilize our greatest talents as a team, the results are outstanding! Other areas of expertise include Logo/Identity, Brochures, Stationary, Websites, Copy writing....basically if it needs to be designed, I have done it, and done it well! I am proficient in all of the industry standard software programs, and continue to educate myself on newest technologies, styles and trends. Freelance Writer & Author

I believe in excellence. Writing isn't about just putting words on paper, it's about expressing ideas. Like any art, the writer has only been successful if the reader sees what he sees, hears what he hears, and feels what he feels. I am an experienced writer with over 180 books published; in addition to my 500+ page web site and 3 blogs. Let's just say, I've been writing for a while. I started writing as an engineer, writing proposals for the company I worked for. As such, my writing had to be clear, concise and answer the questions before they were asked. My writing had to convince the higher-ups in the company to spend money, make changes and believe in what I was saying. When I write, I strive for clarity, simplicity and something that will stir the reader to action. Any subject, no matter how dull it seems, has something in it that can excite; otherwise it would die from apathy. I want to find that thing which excites and express it to others. I have Five general areas in which I consider myself a strong writer. While each of them seem totally separate from each other, they form the structure of who I am, and where I've come from. 2 - Survival and Prepping - I started out as a survivalist as a teen, in the 1970s. That was the latter days of the Cold War and along with some friends, I had plans to head for the Colorado Rockies. Seeing the need, I started studying survival. I guess that just never left me. With the resurgence of interest in survival brought about in the modern prepping movement, I decided that my knowledge was needed. There is too much being written by people who don't know survival, to sell to this niche. When I write about it, it's from the viewpoint of personal experience. When I explain how to do something, it's because I've already done it. 1 - Technical subjects - I'm not talking about product reviews here, I'm talking about engineering technical subjects. As a former engineer, I can grasp technical issues, and explain them in a way that others can grasp what I am saying. Although not normally considered "technical" I must include the building trades amongst this, as I have also been a contractor. If you need "how-to" articles written on the building trades, I can almost do it in my sleep. I find that very few technical people can write well, and very few writers understand technical issues well. I guess that makes me the oddball. Maybe I'm the oddball you need. 2 - Education - I am passionate about the need to educate our children; to bring about reform in our schools; and to bring technology into the classroom. If something isn't done about our educational system, the United States will no longer be able to be world leader, we'll slide back into being a third world country. 3 - Marriage and Family - Amongst my personal writing, there is a fairly large section dealing with marriage, family issues, child raising, and maintaining a healthy marriage relationship. Of my three blogs, one is a daily posting; it is called: "Romantic Act of the Day." Need I say any more? 4 - Christianity and the Bible - Most of the books I have written are for Christians, the Church and teaching about the Bible. I hold a masters degree in Biblical Studies, and an honorary doctorate degree, awarded to me for my writing. No, I don't know it all, I'm just trying to learn it all. I won't say that I can't write about other areas, because I can. I have written a fair amount about business as well. But these four areas are my strengths. The question is, are those the strengths you need?

I'm a gifted storyteller, dedicated to helping clients tell theirs. I say this unabashedly and with complete confidence. The proof, of course, is the words. Today, finding the right words is more important than ever, and I strive to under-promise but over-deliver. The name of my company says it all: words-are-my-biz And my philosophy is simple: The right words sell. The wrong words leave sales on the table. WHO AM I? I’m a professional writer living in Portland, Oregon with a lifelong passion for the power of the written word. I’ve written everything from novels to blogs, sales collateral to web content, ad copy to letters, business proposals to sales plans and training manuals. Not to mention a few thousand papers getting my four kids through high school and college. I love what I do. WHAT IS MY BACKGROUND? I bring more than thirty years of sales and marketing business management experience to every project, and by this I’m talking about major corporations to mid-size companies and start-ups, working in fields including software, real estate, law, publishing, advertising and services. I confess to having a particular fondness for high degree-of-difficulty challenges. JUST HOW DO I DO WHAT I DO? By asking questions, listening and considering what I hear, followed by collaborative brainstorming to develop a plan we both embrace with confidence and enthusiasm. As you seek synergy within your organization, I seek it with my clients. It pays huge dividends. The common thread is in finding the way to communicate more effectively, internally and externally, with staff, customers and prospects. The common challenge is in identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and unique competitive factors confronting each client. HOW CAN YOU LEARN MORE ABOUT ME? Visit my website, home to my novels, blog and publishing company, Old Dog Publishing.

    Writer, Editor, Translator

Netherlands - Last active: 3 days ago - Tests: 4

I am a writer who's got a proven track record for delivering. I am knowledgeable, thorough, and precise. I do meticulous research of the topics I am given, and even for the fiction that I write. I am, by nature, a detail-oriented person. My past history includes medical school and graduate-level research, as well as laboratory work and editing scientific papers. As for translating, I have lived in the Netherlands for seven years, and have taken and passed the NT2. My approach to translating is less than literal, but I've always felt that if you can discern that the document is a translation, then the translator has failed. I endeavor not to leave any awkward traces of Dutch.
