John Russel is a seasoned publicist and promotions executive with more than 20 years experience in the entertainment, advertising and publishing industries. In 2007, he established RUSSEL Public Relations, a full-service agency providing trade and consumer media relations to clients operating in entertainment, licensing, publishing, manufacturing and retail.
With outstanding writing skills and extensive media contacts, RUSSEL offers expertise in children’s television, digital entertainment, books, toys, animation, DVDs, syndicated television, broadcasting equipment and consumer products. RUSSEL covers major industry markets and tradeshows including NATPE, MIP Jr., MIPCOM, KIDSCREEN SUMMIT, ENGAGE DIGITAL, COMIC-CON, COMIKAZE, LICENSING EXPO, BRAND LICENSING EUROPE, MAGIC, NAB, CES, BOOK EXPO AMERICA and others.
RUSSEL represents 41 Entertainment’s global hit animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, and the upcoming Kong: King of the Apes. In January, RUSSEL introduced the licensing industry to NumbersAlive!, an innovative educational brand for children. In addition, RUSSEL represents TheWIFTS Foundation, producers of TheWIFTS Foundation International Visionary Awards.
From 2010 to 2014, RUSSEL represented Rubicon Group Holdings (RGH) based in Amman, Jordan, promoting the company’s three divisions: RGH Entertainment, RGH Themed Entertainment and RGH Games, in Los Angeles.
