In this field, the doctor examines the patient. After examining the patient, the doctor dictates all the diagnoses, past medical history, present medical history, medications, laboratory data, assessment, and plan. The same dictation of the doctor is recorded through the Dictaphone called wave file. The medical transcriber listens this wave file through the headphone and transcribe it. It means the transcriber makes documentation of the patient by listening the wave file through the Scribe. This kind of work is called medical transcription. Basically, this is U.S and Canada based job. This is not particularized for U.S. and Canada rather various countries provide this work. These files may be related to orthopedics, neurology. ENT, HEENT, pulmonology, radiology, ophthalmology, gynecology, dermatology, etc. It totally depends on the doctor which kind of specialization he has. If the doctor is a neurologist, he dictates neurological report. If the doctor is an orthopedist, he dictates an orthopedic report. If the doctor is a dermatologist, he dictates a dermatology report etc. U.A. based companies provide this kind of job to various other countries for making documentation of the patient. I am interested in this kind of project. I have 7 years of transcription experience and have 24 years in the medical field. I do some transcriptions when time permits.
