As a young, aspiring American writer and editor, I believe the best compensation I receive from any job is the experience of working with your literary material.
I am a current senior at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, focusing in screenwriting with a double major in history. Because I am a student, I have the ability to charge lower rates and to work on a tight deadline. Storytelling is what makes me excited, and I believe good stories deserve to be told in a way that flows and is clear and concise.
The types of editing I perform include manuscript (copyediting or line editing), mechanical, substantive, and if desired, developmental. I primarily specialize in The Chicago Manual of Style, though I can apply whatever style guide your project requires. My workflow generally consists of two read-throughs--one very slow in which I do the majority of my editing, and a second sweep in which I check the flow and revise my edits. Every project I work on is incomplete until you are satisfied.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you!
