Writer, Editor, Translator
Mentor Beqa is a long experienced journalist, translator, interpreter, political analyst and lecturer of International Relations. He worked as journalist for a long time covering international news for several Albanian newspapers. He worked for a broad range of issues having English as the working language. He was consultant and interpreter for the World Bank project (Land Administration and Management Project) in cooperation with Immovable Property Registration Office. He was Adviser and Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Defense covering the translation of official documents as well. He served as the official interpreter of the Minister of Defense in several occasions. He was senior speech writer in Albanian and English. He is translator and co translator of several articles and books from English into Albanian. He is currently contributing as translator and editor for the "Philosophical Series", which is a project aiming to bring into Albanian the most fundamental works and authors of political thought.
Mentor Beqa has been graduated as journalist in 2004 at the University of Tirana. He took several training courses over the time he worked as journalist. He holds a MAS Degree in International Relations from University of Geneva and long term course certificate for International Security from GCSP. He attended a three month training course on Military English Language at York St'John University, UK.
Albanian and English are his working languages. He speaks Italian and German as well.
He is married and father of a daughter.
