In a medium cluttered with content, you only have a few seconds to grab a potential customer's attention. My job is to get them to stay on your site and if you're lucky, persuade them to come back.
Everyone loves a story and for want of a better term, you could call me a storyteller. Over the years I've written stories about musicians, authors, actors, sportspeople, scientists, and volunteers. I’ve spun narratives about the places I’ve been, the organisations I’ve worked for and things they do. Whether it’s been a 1500 word feature, homepage calls to action, landing page copy, or client case studies, often the only thing they've had in common is a beginning, middle and end.
My experience encompasses writing for newspapers, magazines, websites, and social networks. It has taken the form of profiles, reviews, features, news stories, website copy, blogs, tender proposals, sales and marketing collateral, and client case studies. Editing, proof-reading, SEO, UX, content strategy, working and collaboratively with others, round out my writing ability.
