I'm one of the very few digital marketing professionals with almost a full circle view of the entire subject.
I got my degree in Management & Accounting in 2004. Marketing is naturally a part of Business so I've dealt with it since then.
I grew up in a business environment so after getting my degree, I've had my hand in a few start-ups of my own. With this, I've employed traditional marketing strategies until the point that my direction in entrepreneurship started shifting to the web.
From 2006, I've started using organic digital marketing mediums to help my own business interests and that of my clients through oDesk. Back in these days, job posts for "SEO" would only get around 30 applicants. In 2013, an SEO job post would get nearly a thousand applicants if left open.
2008 came and I saw the SEO sky falling way before Google named its changes with the first furry animal they could come up with. PPC came into the picture.
By 2010, I'm not just a certified Adwords professional, but I've managed to attain the Google Partner status together with my agency.
Now, I have more than enough personal experience that even top agencies as an organization can match.
I have the big brand and the big budget experience that can go as high as $10,000/day going against household brand names the likes of Ebay, Amazon, Dell, Apple, Logitech, Belkin, Target, etc.
I'm fortunate enough to have collaborated with industry hot shots like Barry Schwartz and award winning agencies to boot.
Besides being the Lead of Leads of a thriving and growing agency, I am also a growing publisher owning web properties and huge Facebook communities as part of my continuous study in the field.
As a publisher, I also earn through Adsense, the other side of Adwords display network as I feel it's important to know all there is to it in what I deal with day in, day out.
With all this, my vision is to somehow get a slice of Google's advertising revenue by being able to own large publications with direct advertising contracts (although I've been earning from this for awhile already, it isn't anywhere near the size of what I envision it to be yet so still a lot of work and investment is needed).
