I'm just getting into Freelancing so please be kind.
The idea came to me at least once before when I was stuck under the desk in my brother's room for the twentieth time as to why I wasn't charging him because this happened on such a regular basis it had practically become my job.
And it has since come back to me when I realized that I offer so many services to friends, family and even complete strangers for absolutely no cost - Advising, Marketing, Tech Support, Proof-Reading, Tutoring - you name it, I've probably helped someone do it in some fashion.
It was at the North East Science Decisions Institute Conference that it dawned upon me that everyone, at some level, needs access to reliable and quick assistance. From your friend from High School who leans on you to change his breaks for him to the college professor which isn't sure in what direction to take his research, people have need for a Freelancer.
My experience is primarily with writing and proofreading of documents for grammatical errors, flow, and inconsistencies.
In my time working for different companies I have also garnered experience in legal writing, information gathering and business document generation.
As a student I have strong knowledge in the fields of marketing and consumer research, though I also have the tools to aid in reviewing and confirming statistical analysis for large data sets.
