Music Composer, Arranger, Transcriber, Film Score, Engraving
I write professional quality music for quality people. Your project, no matter where the music takes you, is important enough to be heard. My work includes independent film scores, educational projects, rock bands, individual events, independent organizations and musical ensembles.
Original music and custom arrangements cover a wide range of styles spanning orchestral, wind ensembles, jazz, percussion, Caribbean (Steel Band), Salsa, drumlines, and film scores.
For notation, I use Sibelius notation software. Any audio needs are worked on with Audacity; electronic / loop based music using Sony Acid. All projects are done on a keyboard/computer workstation.
As a transcriber, my work spans jazz, rock, folk, gospel, and classical. I've even been asked to pick out a background melody from a radio DJ who claimed that no one else could hear it but him (cue Twilight Zone theme here).
As a film composer, I wrote for short films in three Down to the Wire film races in association with Creative Rush/Tallgrass Film Festival - 2012, 2014, 2015. The 2012 film was selected in top 10 of competition (its first year) and the 2014 film was voted as Audience Favorite.
In addition to writing music, I am a music teacher in the public schools, having taught grades K-12 in my career. I also have experience in voice and audio work through experience in radio announcing and production.
My diverse experiences have enabled me to work with a variety of musical projects with ease. Whether it is a professional band or musician, educational project, company endeavor, or something personal, I will give your work the attention and high quality work it deserves - a professional touch.
