Inez Ponce De Leon
Writer,Editor,Researcher, & Consultant - PhD in Science Communication
I hold a PhD in Science Communication, and Masters and Undergraduate degrees in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. My studies and chosen fields of research provide me with the tools and discipline to carry out research, produce high quality work efficiently, and meet all my deadlines.
I am also a self-published novelist, as well as a published creative non-fiction writer, short story writer, and poet. For the last few years, I have also worked as a web content ghost writer, with over a hundred articles on everything from health to marketing, science to business, sports to personality development.
I have made several presentations on various topics, and to a wide variety of audiences. My presentations have spanned the range of basic molecular biology, genetics, DNA technology, forensics, science communication, inter-cultural communication, and strategic issues management. I also carry out research in literature, literary criticism, the mass media, sociology, philosophy, and even music and dance.
Today, I aim to do high quality research and provide high quality content on various topics, for different audiences, and for various clients.
I aim to build my own company in a few years: one that provides science and evidence-based learning for students in the classroom; as well as television viewers at home. I want to use my experiences in the laboratory and as a science communication specialist in order to provide education and information tools to a wide audience. With such educational and information tools, the public can learn more about science and how they can use it to make day-to-day decisions.
