  9. Conny Spandl

    Conny Spandl

    UX Designer

I'm a 23 year old, young Designer living in Linz/Austria. My design-career started in the age of 17 years. I took a job in an agency called screenteam - which was, as the name should tell, mainly focused on digital stuff. You may think "Wow, 17, didn't she went studying?". I was, kind of: I did an apprenticeship at this agency. I worked there as an apprentice for 3 years and went to school for 10 weeks in a year. This gave me the opportunity to gain more work experience than probably someone who went to college for 5 to 6 years. I was not only learning how to make good coffee (just joking), I also learned how to communicate with clients, do presentations, design beautiful things - mainly Webdesign. The world of digital publishing - meaning, creating iPad magazines is also not new to me and I have strong skills on designing print materials. I'm also experienced in Adobe After Effects, creating small Image-Videos. So, after the three years as an apprentice I got my degree as an Graphic Designer. In the age of 22 years I switched the company and started to work as a Junior Designer at Netural - also in Linz. It's probably one of Austria's fastest-growing digital agencies. I got promoted to a Designer after 4 months - I am still working there and enjoying my life as a happy UX Designer. So, all together, I'm a 23 year old girl which likes to design beautiful things. I want to start a little business on my own, next to my 9-5 daily work life. I don't want to do this just because of the money, I want to award myself somehow with this.
